V1.5.6 8/06/09
StylePlayer is one of several programs in the StyleManager
Series that is intended to give users the ability to work
around common annoyances, overcome operating
discrepancies between instruments, or facilitate the
management of PSR Style and Registration files.

The corrections applied in order to make the style files

play properly on a PC would not have been possible
without the CASM section format compiled and largely
decoded by Jorgen Sorensen.

Bob Gelman has been very helpful in program testing and

it was in response to his suggestions that SoftSynth
compatibility was encouraged and the All Sections play
mode included.

Many people have requested that the display update

during “All Channels” to indicate the style currently being
reproduced. It was their insistent requests that stimulated
a revision that included Repeat, GM setup and Auto Check
functions. Their comments improved the program for all.

Frank Hand and Ronny Buermans gave V1.2.4 a close going

over and discovered behavior which the program, and it’s
users, will thankfully now be without.

With Version 1.2.8, special mention is made of Alexandre

Santa Clara who suggested the volume control, drag &
drop operation and file size display in addition to careful
review of the program’s operation.

Peter Wierzba also assisted in debugging the program, and

encouraged improvements to the Play/Stop operations,
the inclusion of drag & drop capability, and that the
program should remember the GM/XG setting.

Frank Hand has provided tireless assistance in the process

of tracking down problems which were difficult to
reproduce on the development system.

Jolibois Didier was not the first to identify the need to

modify a style’s volume so that it will play properly on a
PSR, but it was his request that encouraged me to add this
functionality to StylePlayer.

Michael Rath has made a number of useful comments and

suggestions. He requested functionality that led to the
Enter key being able to control the Play and Stop
operations.

Charles Walker requested the ability to alter tempos to

support a project he was working on. It was added in
V1.5.1.
