Croatia

1. Croatia stretches in the form of one big arc between: Hungary,


Slovenia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in the southwest
it exits to the Adriatic Sea
2. It occupies an area of 56,578 km2 and 4.2 million inhabitants live
in it
3. The relief in Croatia is divided into two parts: lowland - in the
northern part, where expanses of the Pannonian Plain stretch with
the areas of Slavonia and Baranja, and mountains in the
southwestern and coastal part, these are the mountains: Golema
and Mala Kapela, Velebit, Dinara, etc. .
4. The climate on the coast is Mediterranean, on the mountains it is
mountainous, and in the Pannonian Plain it is temperate-
continental
5. The rivers belong to the Black Sea and Adriatic basins. The rivers
Danube, Drava, Sava, etc. belong to the Black Sea, and the rivers
Cetina, Krka, etc. belong to the Adriatic.
6. The population consists of Croats, Serbs, Slovenians, Italians, etc.
The capital is Zagreb, and other major cities are Split, Dubrovnik,
Rijeka, Osijek, Zadar, etc.
