in the water. The species we were looking for where divided into three categories:

Many people would assume that every person is treated as an equal. However, it is
very clear that not all lives are treated equal, even if they are technically considered
to be. It s impossible to ignore the fact that African American people have been
treated as lesser human beings.The interview conducted with Judith Butler titled
What s Wrong With All Lives Matter, addressed the ongoing issue between the
equality between a black and white individual White privilege plays a big role in
why we continue to struggle with the issue of racism. The word racism will always
leave a mark on our world, because no matter how hard our society tries to rid
ourselves of it, there will always be racism somewhere, poisoning the surrounding
people. During the interview, Butler states that it is true that all lives matter, but it
is equally true that not all lives are understood to matter which is precisely why it is

Tim Wise says imagine yourself boarding an airplane and you notice the pilot and
co pilot are black and you suddenly feel like you should exit the plane because it is
unsafe to fly. This is an example of a negative bias because you are unaware of the

St. Thomas Aquinas was an influential philosopher who strongly incorporated faith
into his philosophy. In his Summa Theologiae, Aquinas uses his own arguments
along with those of both Aristotle and Plato to strengthen his claims. First and
foremost, Aquinas uses his own philosophy to back the Christian faith and the
existence of God. However, Aquinas also extends his argument past the initial claim
of God and Christianity, and it is here where he uses these other influential

God exists is self evident in itself because the predicate is identical with the subject

crime scene. Edmond Locard, founder of the Institute of Criminalistics at the
University of Lyon, France, developed what has become known as Locard s
Exchange Principle. This states that every contact leaves a trace (Trace Evidence).
Trace evidence can consist of just about anything. Some types of trace evidence
include but are not limited to hair, blood and other body fluids, paint, glass, and

Sperm or semen evidence at a crime scene is usually evidence of a suspected
sexual assault. As with bloodstain evidence, semen evidence can also help in
identifying perpetrators. Saliva evidence cannot usually be seen from visual
examination. Saliva evidence is usually retrieved from another piece of evidence
such as cigarette butts, gummed surfaces of envelopes, chewing gum, bite marks,
ski and/or nylon masks. Saliva evidence can also be useful in helping to find a
suspect. Once it is determined that bio evidence is present, if the object containing
the biological fluid can be taken in whole to be processed, it is bagged and labeled
as usual. However, if the evidence is on something that cannot be transported, then a
swab is taken to gather a sample.
The proper gathering, handling and processing of trace evidence is a vital part of
any investigation. Because not all cases are cut and dry, the criminals are not caught
in the act, having the proper evidence can speak volumes. As stated previously, hair,
fingerprints, and biological fluid stains are just some of the common types of trace
evidence however, as technology continues to push forward, more and more evidence
and ways of testing is coming to light.

William Faulkner was said to be one of the best Southern Gothic writers and the
Southern Gothicism was brought about by Edgar Allen Poe in 1839. His novels and
short stories such as Absalom! Absalom! (1936), The Sound and the Fury (1929),
and A Rose for Emily (1930) were of the Southern Gothic genre. This paper will
discuss what Southern Gothic is and its characteristics, along with William Faulkner
and how Faulkner s work conforms to the Southern Gothic genre. First, to begin by
discussing what Southern Gothic is. Southern Gothic is a mode or genre prevalent in
literature from the early 19th century to this day. Characteristics of Southern Gothic
include the presence of irrational, horrific, and transgressive thoughts, desires, and

Government which emphasizes order, structure, and tradition is seen as a
necessary system to help maintain an ordered community. Conservatives regard an
ordered community and common values as the highest good of society and that

Initially we thought we were going to be able to conduct an evaluation, but with
lack of time, we realized that was no longer feasible. Instead, we decided to take the
idea of focusing on the evaluation tools and develop an evaluation how to of Rachel
s challenge. Our goal was to have a manual to present to UVMC and allow them to
continue the evaluation further with our guided manual. During our evaluation of
Rachel s Challenge, it became a concern to us that this programwasn t really a
bullyingprevention program, but more a program focused on character building.
After a lack of communication between the UVMC and Rachel s Challenge
connections we decided to shift our focus. We still wanted our final product to be a
manual, but decided to focus on presenting it to a broader audience. What we went
forward with was developing a how to manual for evaluating an anti bullying
program. As I had already done some background research, getting started went
smoothly.
The process of developing the manual began with our previous class work. We used
our complied work as a reference point to set up the contents of the manual. Since
our class work was focused on Rachel s Challenge we had to redo everything, minus
my background work. Section were divided between Taylor and I and we each were
responsible for three sections and manual and split responsibility for continuing
research on the background section. Dr. Green suggested we meet with Randy, a
research specialist from the library.
