Marie Curie

Marie Curie is considered a genius because she was able to discover


radioactive elements. Marie Curie was a polish scientist who studied in the university of
Borbonia, since she was a child she had a prodigious memory that allowed her to
memorize and understand hard topics, also she win a gold medal in her secondary
school. Unfortunately his father had finantial problems, so she had to work to help her
family. After working she was able to finance her sister Blonislawa's studies in the
Sorbonne, the same university that she will study months later. Here she met a lot of
well known physicists, and she got her license of physical sciences in 1983. Not only
that, she got married to Pierre Curie and they worked together, in 1903 they shared
with Becquerel the Nobel Prize for Physics for the discovery of radioactivity. In 1911
she was awarded the Nobel Prize for Chemistry, for the isolation of pure radium. To
conclude, Marie Curie was an important woman in our society, she was a big example
of responsibility, effort and the most important thing is that she left an important
message, it was that women can also achieve awards and make great discoveries.
