The purpose of this Method Statement is to provide the personnel associated with the works
referred with appropriate work methodology and test procedures, so that the Quality

requirements as defined can be accomplished when planning and executing the works
described herein. This Method Statement outlines the work sequence intended for the
Installation of _________.

2. SCOPE

This method statement covers the detailed procedure to be followed for Installation ______
works at (location), within the scope of Arco Electromechanical LLC at (Project Name). This
procedure shall be read in conjunction with contract specification wherever applicable.

5. RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Manager

 Ensure implemented QMS have been followed and project Objectives are set and
monitored.
 Working closely under the guidance and direction of the Project Director and assist him in
the day to day duties of a project’s administration.
 Assist in plan and spec analysis in order to provide clear, traceable and coordinated
interpretations of the design/drawings for construction.
 Research and recommend solutions to design document problems, including conflicts,
interferences and errors/omissions.
 Act as liaison with subcontractors in expediting drawings and related information.
 Ensure Projects Log are Maintained accurately and up-to-date
 Monitor field work, including contract work, to ensure compliance with company

standards, procedures, specifications and codes.


 Participate in the continuous updating and accurate generation of as-built documents.
 Assist with the research and preparation of field change requests to resolve design issues.
 Attend project coordination and Client/contractor/architect/ engineer meetings as
requested or required.
 Perform additional assignments and responsibilities as assumed or requested by Project
Director.

Construction Manager

 Responsible for Site Foreman, Engineers, Area Package Managers, Direct Labour and
Subcontractors performance.
 Responsible for all construction and site activities in accordance with the program and
in compliance with the quality specified.
 Coordination with the Sub-contractors.
 Implementing of the Contract requirements on site.
 Site Safety and liaison with Safety Engineer.
 Produce weekly short-term programs with the Planning Department.
 Holding Weekly Coordination Meetings with sub-contractors, liaison with the staff.
 Issuing Daily Labour& Plant records to the client representative and the project
management team.
 Compiling Site Diary for recording:

 Recording site surveys of structure issues and advising Designers and copying the
Commercial Department.

Site Engineer

QA/QC Engineer

 Prepare the Project Quality Plan as per Client requirements.


 Ensure Company's Quality Policy and Project Quality Plan are understood by all.
 Implement all Quality Procedures at the project site.
 Liaise with Client/Consultant in all the matters related to the Quality Assurance and
Quality Control and daily construction operation to ensure employer satisfaction.
 Implement Project required Method Statement and ITPs and Ensure construction team full
understanding and following at their end.
 Report to Project Director on all issues related to Quality matters as independent
personne
 Supervise all construction outputs, quality inspections before final delivery to the client.
 Explore all client complaints related to quality control and recommend solutions.

 Review and distribute inspection report as indicated on the document distribution


matrix via the Document Controller
 Issuance of Observations and NCR as required, and follow-up until it is closed.
 Ensure that Sub-Contractors are working in accordance to the Project Quality

Documents /plan as per their scope.


 Plan, schedule, and conduct audit for the all different department as well as
subcontractors and suppliers.
 Approve subcontractor’s quality plans and method statements.
 Maintain filing systems in accordance with project procedures.
 Ensure Handing over procedure implemented effectively.
 Report to Project Manager on all issues related to Quality matters.
 Ensure that Sub-Contractors are working in accordance to the Project Quality
Documents.
 Provide regular report to PM and QA/QC Manager as directed.
 Supervise the Document Controller in order to maintain filing systems in accordance
with project procedures.
 Coordinate document procedures with Resources Manager, Commercial and Finance
Manager, Planning Engineer and Project & Design Coordinator.
 Any other tasks those are appropriate to smooth operation of project services team as
directed by PM.

Logistics Coordinator

 Responsible for all on site aspects of the logistics, supply chain, and waste management
operations.
 In charge of all delivery process into site for import shipment and local materials working
closely with suppliers and customer to improve operations and reduce cost.
 Make sure all the delivery process is handling/done as per client/site requirements and
managing all required equipment for offloading are available.
 Checking all documents and prepare shipment for clearance and follow up exemption
process as per local laws
 Negotiating contracts with suppliers to reduce costs and achieve maximum efficiency.
 Ensuring the personal safety and safe working environment of staff accordingly to the HSE
plan.

 Attending Safety meeting with client to insure all the environmental issues being taking
care of.
 Communicating needs & objectives to managers & key personnel in project.
 Providing accurate routing information to ensure that delivery times are coordinated.
 Accurately calculating total supply chain costs in relation to proposed new projects.
 Obtaining quotes for transportation, delivery, manpower supplies & creating cost
comparisons.
 Maintaining communication and control through all phases of the project.
 Provides input into staff performance evaluations and objectives
 Handling warehousing of material ( in case needed)
 Taking care of green inactive process as per UAE regulation (Waste management and
Recycling)

Safety Engineer/Officer

 Monitor and supervise Safety on site.


 Produce the Weekly Safety Report
 Liaison with the Project Team as per approved Safety Plan
 Holding Toolbox talks with the Subcontractors
 Method statement and details of the Scaffolding requirements.
 Liaison with Client/Engineer & Designers.
 Prepare Risk assessment for each activity taking in consideration project specs and site
condition.

7. PROCEDURE

7.1 Preparatory Works

 Installations to be co ordinate with civil, architecture and other MEP installations.


 Ensure that all safety requirements are in place in accordance with the proper safety
plan.
 Ensure that all equipments and tools are available at site.
 Ensure that the latest approved drawing is being used by site team.
 Ensure that all materials used have passed receiving inspection in accordance with QA
procedures and are not damaged or defective.
 Ensure that all electricians and helpers are aware of the correct materials handling and
installation procedures to ensure the best quality of workmanship.
 Mobilize necessary work force with proper tools, tackles and PPE.
 Ensure all work forces have undergone the safety induction and PTW at site.
 Obtain work permit prior to start the works
 Disable the fire alarm connection. (Obtain permit from proper Authorities)

7.2 Relocation

 Locate and mark all the devices to be removed/shifted as per approved shop drawing.
 Disconnect the device and store in clean and safe place.
 Connect the loop with insulated butt connector.
 Locate and mark the new location.
 Proceed to Installation procedures.

 No work shall execute without shop drawing, PQP, Method statement & Material
 inspection approval.
 Person in charge of the work shall ensure that works are executed as per the approved
 Specification & approved methodology.
 Person in-charge of the work shall ensure that, Quality procedures shall be followed
 during work execution.
 All relevant clearance shall be requested prior to start the activity.
 Hold points as per approved inspection test plan offered for consultant/ client inspection.
 Non-conformance work shall be avoided / controlled.
 All documents & logs related to inspections shall be maintained & updated regularly.
 Experienced supervisors, tradesmen and Labour shall be allocated to execute the works.
 QA/QC activity is as per the construction Methodology.
