Methodology: Teaching methodology: Montessori Method
 Children to do oral counting from 1 to 10 through singing on the board with
the help of flesh cads and real objects.
 Start with any number song (one two buckle my shoe, one two three four
five, once I caught a fish alive).
 Any of the real objects can be shown (6 pencils, 6 markers, 6 books etc.) to
the children.
 Explain these are 6 pencils, 6 markers, 6 books etc.) etc.
 Show flash card of number or write on board following correct formation and
explain this is the sign that means 1.
 Use any of the techniques (tracing in the air, on the palm, on the table,
slate, white board, salt/sand tray, and sand paper numerals) for number
tracing.
 Open up the book page. Ask students to trace the number with two fingers,
three or four times and follow the correct formation.
 Monitor their work as they finish, praise neat and careful work.
Activity:
 Student will watch digital resource and sing number song.
 Students to trace the number, and count the pictures to associate the pictures with
the quantity and colour them into the text book.
 Children to count their peers, sitting around a table from 1 to 6.
Success Criteria:
Student will be able to trace, identify and count the number ‘6’
AFL:
Number recognition, counting, tracing to assess through digital resource, pictures, real
objects, activities. Slate, play dough, written work.

 Differentiate between the term empty and full.

Methodology: Teaching methodology: Experiential Learning
 Teacher will start the concept with the help of picture demonstration.(empty and
full)
 Teacher will show the students video of empty and full for their better
understanding.
 Teacher will use the resources one by one and clarify the concept.
 Show a bottle full of water and an empty bottle, lunch box full and empty, a glass
full of water and an empty glass etc. and introduce the two terms empty and full.
 Place pair of objects empty and full. Ask students to take turns, observe the
objects, and tell which is empty and which is full. Children can compare their own
water bottles.
 Then teacher will ask to the students to look at the picture on page and put a tick
on the vase, which is empty.
Activity:
 Teacher will place two different colour of toy cups and a bottle of water in front of
the child. Child has been told which colour cup has to be filled with water and
complete freedom has been given to fill the cup with water.
Success Criteria:
Student will be able to differentiate between empty and full.
AFL:
Teacher will take two baskets, fill one basket with fruits and keep the other one empty and
ask from the students which basket is empty and which one is full?
