SHARED VISION

Over the next two years, San Juan de Moriones Elementary School envisions a
vibrant learning community where literacy becomes a catalyst for empowerment. Our
shared vision is to cultivate a dynamic environment that not only imparts functional,
competent, and critical thinking skills but also nurtures a profound love for lifelong
learning. Tailored to the unique potential of each learner, our commitment is to fully
develop their capabilities, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to the nation and
become well-rounded, productive citizens. Through a comprehensive approach to literacy,
we aspire to illuminate the path for every learner to become proficient readers,
experiencing heightened engagement and holistic development.
Aligned with our mantra, "Juan at Heart Work as One SJDMES," we pledge to work
collaboratively, involving teachers, parents, and the community to establish a literacy-rich
environment. This shared vision reflects our dedication to academic excellence and lifelong
success for every learner.

SMART GOAL
In the next two years, San Juan de Moriones Elementary School aims to bridge
reading gaps in Key Stage 1, identified through the CRLA assessment, via the
implementation of Project INSPIRE (Innovative Strategies Promoting Improved Reading
Excellence). This project incorporates the Marungko Approach in Filipino and the Fuller
Approach in English, harmonizing with our mantra, "Juan at Heart Work as One SJDMES."
Addressing specific reading gaps in decoding, fluency, and comprehension, Project
INSPIRE (Innovative Strategies Promoting Improved Reading Excellence) will target 18
Key Stage 1 students identified through the CRLA assessment. The project will integrate the
Marungko Approach for Filipino and the Fuller Approach for English, tailored to the
linguistic needs of our learners.
By the end of the two-year period, the goal is to achieve a minimum 80%
improvement in the overall reading proficiency of the 18 targeted Key Stage 1 students,
measured through pre- and post-assessment data in both Filipino and English.
Project INSPIRE (Innovative Strategies Promoting Improved Reading
Excellence) will leverage existing resources and implement teacher training programs,
community involvement, and innovative strategies, integrating the Marungko Approach for
Filipino and the Fuller Approach for English, to create a conducive learning environment
tailored to the needs of the 18 identified learners
The initiative aligns seamlessly with the shared vision of San Juan de Moriones
Elementary School, emphasizing literacy as a transformative tool for empowerment,
cultivating competent and critical thinkers, while acknowledging linguistic diversity
through the use of Marungko and Fuller Approaches.
Progress towards the SMART goal will be systematically evaluated every quarter,
allowing for timely adjustments to interventions and strategies over the two-year period.
Through this SMART goal, San Juan de Moriones Elementary School endeavors to
make significant strides in enhancing the literacy skills of the 18 targeted Key Stage 1
students, bringing the shared vision to life by creating an environment where every Juan
thrives and works collectively as one, embracing linguistic diversity through the Marungko
and Fuller Approaches.
