learn and why?)
The objective of this lesson is to teach students how to identify the main idea or topic in
a story or conversation and to understand its importance.
2. How will you connect this lesson with the learner’s prior knowledge and lessons
that may follow?
This lesson connects with the learners' prior knowledge by building on their understanding of
listening to stories or conversations. It also prepares them for future lessons by developing
their comprehension skills.
3. What closure activities are you planning that will allow your learners to
demonstrate that they are meeting the objectives?
The closure activities will include a discussion where students will demonstrate their ability
to identify the main idea or topic in a story or conversation.
4. Are there any common difficulties and or misconception that you anticipate in
teaching the lesson? If so, how will you address them?
Some students may struggle with understanding the importance of identifying the main idea
or topic. To address this, I will provide clear examples and explanations.
The resources for this lesson include the Teacher’s Guide, Learner’s Materials, PowerPoint
presentation, video clips, and BIGBOOK.
8. As you planned this lesson, why did you select these instructional strategies and or
methods of delivery?
I selected these instructional strategies because they align with the learning objectives and
cater to different learning styles. The use of constructivism and activity-based strategies will
engage students and promote active learning.
9. Share some ways that your lesson plan demonstrates the attainment of your lesson
objectives.
The lesson plan demonstrates the attainment of the objectives by providing clear subtasks
and activities that allow students to practice and apply the skills they are learning.
10. Are there any areas you would like for me to provide feedback?
I would appreciate feedback on the clarity of the instructions, the engagement of the
students, and any suggestions for improvement.
