Casey Zurek in our group presented his idea on health awareness after witnessing

someone having a heart attack in the food court at Costco where he works. He wanted to bring

more awareness to overall health in America and potentially focus on certain organs or diabetes.
We would be able to raise awareness of common symptoms and preventative actions to keep

people healthy. He wanted to focus on the Gen Z audience and reach them by local campaigning

or online media.

We decided as a team to go with Brittanie Braggs idea. Her idea was to educate people on

the importance of voting. We talked about how there isn’t enough education for new voters, low

income communities, and minorities. We also wanted to focus on local elections more than

presidential elections. We want to provide education for people and make sure they know how

their votes are being counted. Once people turn 18 they have the option to vote but most people

don’t know who to vote for or how to get to the poles.

This was the first time our group met and we all got along really well. We all had great

ideas and respected each other's presentations. We easily decided on a topic to focus on for our

project considering we could talk about some of the other topics when it comes to discussing

voting. I’m really excited to work with this team and I think we will succeed together.
