Good Afternoon Kindy parents and carers,

I hope you have been able to enjoy the Easter break and holidays? I am so excited to be going back
to school and starting Term 2.

We have been requested by admin to contact parents in regard to your plans for next week. If you
can please advise if you are planning to send your children or if you are commencing home school.
This information helps us with our planning. Ultimately it is your decision and I respect whatever
choice you make.

You might have seen some communication emails come through from Jenny our Principal. Please
read this important information. Here is an overview below:

For those attending school

· Kindergarten students to enter school through the gate near Room T1 – Now known as Gate B.
· A staff member will greet the children at the gate and take/direct them to their classroom.
Teachers will be waiting outside their classroom.
· Picking up - All Kindergarten children are to be picked up at 2:30pm. Teachers will escort
children to the gate they are to be picked up from. Kindy 5&6 students are to be picked up from
Gate A (near Room 13 – please see map)
· We have also attached the new roster for Term 2. The first day back (29 April) is for Kindy 5
students.
· A school map is also attached, for your reference.

** Please note early pick up is only for weeks 1 & 2 at this stage **

Families with multiple children attending

The families with more than one child attending the school, all children can enter using the same
gate as the youngest student in the family.
Parents of multiple children, it is important that you advise each of your children’s teachers on
Wednesday morning, via email or the usual class communication method/or by written note with
your signature/or email to the school email malvernsprings.ps@education.wa.edu.au which gate
your child must go to at the end of the day.

For those choosing to home school

Parents who are home schooling can pick up their children’s stationery/resources from the child’s
classroom on Tuesday 28 April in alphabetical order of last names as follows. Please do not bring
your children to school if possible.
Pick up time Tuesday 28 April
9:00am - 9:30am Surname A through to C
9:30am - 10:00am Surname D through to I
10:00am - 10:30am Surname J through to M
11:30pm - 12:00pm Surname N through to R
12:00pm - 12:30pm Surname S through to T
12:30pm - 1:00pm Surname U through to Z

Extra information to note:

Students will be requested to use hand sanitiser as they come into the school grounds

 All students to arrive at school between 8:30am and 8:45am.

 All students go directly to their classrooms once they arrive at school.

 We ask parents to either send their children to school or have them home schooled.
 Do notsend your children to school on some days and keep them home on other days.

 Students must stay at home if they are unwell.

 Learning program – all students, both face-to-face and home learners will be learning the
same content for the first two weeks of term.

 There will be cleaners on-site full time to sanitise during the day.

 OSH Club will operate as normal.

The school canteen will be open as usual. All orders are done on Flexi schools.
