I am writing with regard to the recent post as advertised on LinkedIn for the Metallurgist/Engineer in training

position. This opportunity is highly appreciated.

I am a Metallurgical Engineering graduate with background knowledge and experience in Metallurgical support

services, Non-destructive Testing and Quality control for various industries and I am eager to grow my career with

Zwane Inspections. In addition to reviewing my attached CV, I hope that you consider the value I bring to the

company.

It has always been my interest to use metallurgical knowledge and NDT into practical use. With my educational

background and industry experience, I am confident that I will make an excellent candidate for this position. I

posses diverse knowledge and experience of Metallurgy and NDT, ranging from metallurgical replication

assessment and hardness test, remaining life assessment and material analysis , and failure investigation. In

addition, I also posses experience on inspection of high pressure vessels, pipelines, boiler tubes and turbines in

power generation, oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

Through my employment with De-Tect Unit Inspection as Metallurgy-NDT assistant(currently), I have been able to

enhance my technical, analytical and problem solving skill. I carried out various tasks, under supervision,

including but not limited to, inspection, replication an evaluation of high temperature damage components, NDT

equipment setup, calibration and operation. I have proven my ability to work under pressure and to multi-task.

Previously, I have worked for Transnet Engineering as Metallurgy Technician trainee .

In this position, I received compliments on my hard work and willingness to learn. These has equipped me with

strong analytical and evaluation skills which enabled me to deliver reliable results to clients with greater efficiency.
