Complete this lab as follows:

Notice that you are currently working on the computer named ITAdmin, as can be seen in the bottom right corner of the
desktop.

1. Explore the Settings app.


a. Right-click Start.
Notice the options available.
b. Select Settings.
You are now in the Settings app, where System has been selected in the left pane by default. Notice the options available in the right
pane.
c. From the top right, select Answer Questions.
d. Answer Question 1.
e. Minimize the Lab Questions dialog.
2. Configure the power settings.
a. From the right pane of the Settings app, select Power.
b. Select Screen and sleep.
c. For When plugged in, turn off my screen after, use the drop-down list to select 30 Minutes.
3. View other Setting app settings.
a. From the left pane of the Settings app, select Personalization.
b. From the top right, select Answer Questions.
c. From the Lab Questions dialog, answer Question 2.
d. Minimize the Lab Questions dialog.
e. Explore other options from the left pane as desired.
f. Close the Settings app.
4. Explore Control Panel.
a. Select Start and then, in the search field, type Control.
b. Under Best match, select Control Panel.
Notice the settings that can be configured from Control Panel.
c. Leave Control Panel open.
5. View the hardware in the IT Administration office.
a. From the top left, select IT Administration.
You are shown the computers and other hardware found in the IT Administration office. These are found under Workspace.
b. Use the scrollbar toward the bottom to view the hardware located in this office.
c. From the top, next to Workspace, use the - and + to enlarge or reduce the view of this office.
d. From the top right, select Answer Questions.
e. Answer Question 3.

f. Minimize the Lab Questions dialog.
g. On the monitor for the ITAdmin computer, select Click to view Windows 11.
You are brought back to the operating system of the ITAdmin computer.
6. Switch to CorpServer and view Hyper-V.
a. From the top left, select Floor 1.
Notice that each room is labeled and the computer(s) found in that room are listed under the label.
b. From the top right, select Answer Questions.
c. Answer Question 4.
d. Minimize the Lab Questions dialog.
e. Under Networking Closet, select CorpServer.
f. From the Hyper-V Manager, select CORPSERVER.
g. Maximize the Hyper-V window for better viewing.
Notice the virtual machines that could be used.
7. Access and explore the CorpDC computer.
a. Double-click CorpDC to access the server.

A virtual machine can also be opened by right-clicking on the desired server and then selecting Connect.

b. From Server Manager's menu bar, select Tools.


Notice the tools shown.

In some cases, only the tools or menu items required for a lab are simulated.

c. Select Group Policy Management.


d. Expand and select Forest: CorpNet.local > Domains > CorpNet.local.
e. Explore the Group Policy Management tool further, as desired.
8. Switch back to the ITAdmin computer and view the exhibits.
a. From the top left, select Floor 1.
b. Under IT Administration, select ITAdmin.
Notice that Control Panel is still open.
c. Help for some labs can come from looking at exhibits. From the top right, select Exhibits.
Notice the wiring diagram shown. Notice that you can move the exhibit window and resize it as you would other operating system
windows.
d. From the top right, select Answer Questions.
e. Answer Question 5.
9. Complete the lab.
a. From the Scenario pane of the TestOut interface, scroll to the bottom so you can see all of the remaining steps.
b. From the Lab Questions window, select Score Lab.
c. Select Score.
d. From the Lab Report page, examine the TASK SUMMARY to review your lab results.
Successfully completed tasks show a green checkmark.
Tasks not completed successfully are indicated with a red X.
e. Close the Lab Report page.
