Example Scholarship Essays

Crafting an essay on the subject of "Example Scholarship Essays" is undoubtedly a challenging

endeavor. The difficulty arises not only from the need to showcase one's writing prowess but also to
deliver a compelling narrative that highlights personal achievements, aspirations, and the unique
qualities that set the author apart from the rest.

To begin with, the writer must navigate the delicate balance between self-promotion and humility. It
requires a fine-tuned skill to present accomplishments without sounding boastful and to express
ambitions without appearing overly ambitious. Furthermore, the essay should seamlessly weave a
coherent story, connecting the dots between past experiences, present goals, and future aspirations.

The challenge intensifies as the writer grapples with the word limit. Expressing profound ideas and
life-changing experiences within a confined space demands concise and impactful writing. Every
word must carry weight, contributing to the overall theme and leaving a lasting impression on the
reader.

Moreover, tackling the essay requires introspection, as the writer must delve deep into their own life
to identify pivotal moments, challenges overcome, and lessons learned. This introspective process
can be emotionally taxing and demands a level of self-awareness that not everyone possesses.

Constructing a well-crafted essay also entails extensive research on the scholarship organization,
understanding their values, and aligning personal experiences with the mission and goals of the
scholarship. This thorough preparation is time-consuming and adds an extra layer of complexity to
the writing process.

In conclusion, writing an essay on "Example Scholarship Essays" involves a multi-faceted challenge,

requiring a delicate balance of humility and self-promotion, concise and impactful expression,

Margina Busby Assistive Technology Analysis
In the Overview of Assistive Technology and Implementation Video by Margina Busby,
she gives a lecture on what assistive technology is and how it can be used in the
classroom. I learned that assistive technology is any item, piece of equipment or product
system, whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified, or customized that is
used to increase, maintain, or improve capabilities of individuals with disabilities. Some
examples of assisted technology are calculators, pencil grips, pocket dictionaries,
communication systems (with or without voice output), adapted textbooks, and modified
utensils. It is interesting to see all of the different forms of assistive technologythat can be
used in the classroom. I am currently taking a class... Show more content on

When I was in elementary and middle school I would use pencil grips because I did a
lot of writing. My hand would start to cramp up and hurt and the pencil grip would
help ease the pain. I also used other items such as a pocket dictionary, a calculator, and
wide spaced lined paper. Growing up I used these items in the classroom and while I
was at home. The teacher would require us to use these items when she was teaching a
lesson. It was interesting to learn that the windows program has an accessibility
option. I believe that the computer is one of the best assistive technologies because
there are so many things that you can do on the computer. There are websites that the
students can use as well as programs designed especially for them. One point that I got
out of Ms. Busby s lecture is that teachers need to use all of their resources. There are
so many items and ways to use those items that teachers can use to help their students
excel in the classroom. I know that this video is rather old, but one question I have for
the guest speaker is what are some assistive technology that teachers are using in the
classroom today? Another question I have for the guest speaker is there a time length on
certain assistive technologies? For example, John should only use the wide line paper for
three weeks or until he has mastered using the
Reasons Why The Confederate Flag Should Not Be Banned
The Confederate Flag should not be banned in public buildings and area. The first
reason why the Confederate Flag should be not banned is because it is a symbol of
Southern heritage. In Document 39, 42% of Americans believe that the Confederate flag
is a representative of Southern history and heritage and is not racist. This supports my
position because many Americans don t see the Confederate flag as offensive, but
instead reflects Southern history. There would be no point in banning something that a
majority deem not offensive. In addition, the Confederate flag should not be banned
because it honors the fallen soldiers. According to Document 14, the Confederate Flag
is waved in Georgia every year on April 26 to honor the 90,000 men
Porphyria s Lover Essay
Robert Browning s poem, Porphyria s Lover, is a dramatic monologue which focuses
on gender inequalities in England. Browning effectively exemplifies the males desire to
dominate women in all spheres of life during the Victorian Era through the speaker s
state of mind, psychology, and actions. The patriarchal society of Victorian England
suppressed the female identity and sexuality, by objectifying women and treating them
as inferior. In the beginning, Browning shows how dominant Porphyria is by
controlling the speaker s body and making him do things: She put my arm around her
waist/And made her smooth white shoulder bare (16 17). This is the exact opposite of
what one would expect to see in the typical Victorian home. Once Porphyria confesses
her love for the narrator, she finally expresses the kind of dependence the narrator
desires, resulting in the speaker taking control... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Additionally, the speaker objectifies his lover and refers to her as it, as if she has now
lost her importance: And I, it s love, am gained instead! (55). According to the speaker,
this is how the relationship between a man and woman should be; there is not a
mutual domination, but only the man has the power to decide what happens.
Moreover, he reinforces his belief that what he did was right, by ending the poem with
a reference to a power higher than social influences: God. He says that, God has not
said a word! (60), effectively providing proof that this is what God wants; he didn t
object to what the man did because he was right. Furthermore, in Deborah Gorham s
work, The Victorian Girl and the Feminine Ideal, Gorham articulates on the central
female role in the early and mid Victorian years: accepting limits and restraints, and
recognizing male superiority
Short Happy Life Of Francis Macomber Point Of View
In Hemingway s short story Short happy Life of Francis Macomber, Hemingway uses
author techniques of perspective to show readers the characterization of the three main
protagonists in this story. Hemingway creates a multipart claim using perspective as well
as dialogue to show readers a pervasive, negative tone carried throughout the story.
Wilson, Francis, and Margaret are characterized by multiple perspectives with multiple
traits and negative aspects to their characters. Wilson s state of mindis quite judgmental
towards the Macombers, basing his thoughts on their actions. However, he later comes to
the conclusionthat Francis, in particular, is not the man he thought he was. Hemingway
shows this shift through dialogue and an attitude change. To... Show more content on

Wilson then couldn t believe Francis approached him to ask if he was going to mention
the situation with anyone from the Mathaiga Club. In Wilson s internal dialogue, he
felt shocked from Francis approach and felt as if Francis was an even more coward
along with being an unexpected American. Hemingway uses Wilson s inner thoughts on
Francis as a perspective to express his judgment towards others. Later, Wilson began to
connect in some type of way with Francis through their discussion on strategies for
catching the lion.Wilson goes on to discuss how inaccurate it is to leave a wounded lion
out in the wild for the safety of others that may be roaming. Through the dialogue
between him and Francis, Wilson goes into explanation on how Francis ideas won t work
for various reasons. The discussion demonstrates the interest Francis has on the structure
of hunting a lion and the connection they begin to develop. The dialogue written by
Hemingway allows the reader see Wilson s judgment about Francis slowly fading as
Francis is now attracted to the technique and strategy on

men s standards. They are more like men s accessories. Ultimately they become goals of
men s sexual desire and victims of the society. Gender relation is clearly established in
this book.

person. He seems to enjoy
