1 IMPORTANT :
1 Before any maintenance operation, the user shall make sure that the
people can safely operate and more particularly that the unit is stopped
and cannot be started during servicing.
1 Also, alt lifting means and tools shall be suited for the operations
concerned (mainly as regards weight and geometry).
1 6.1 .1 CELL
Regularly check the injectors against plugging , and the O-rings. For dismounting, refer to the
1 section below .
6.2.1 CELL
IMPORTANT:
Before servicing inside the cell, take every safety measure tor the
personnel in charge and more particularly:
- The cell has been totally discharged following the unit shutdown
procedures (as the cell is not meant to be depressurized, do not forget
to open the event located at cell top);
- Two persons at least must be present on the working area, throughout
servicing time.
When disrnounting the canisters of injectors is possible (case of the bolting mounted
canisters) , proceed as follows:
Remove the rear piping ;
Fix the lifting ring on the canister using a crane to keep it under tension ; if there is
no tapped holes provided far this purpose , plan a levelling from below (for small
sizes cells) ;
Remove all fıx ing fasteners of the can ister ;
Rernove the piping upstream ;
Recover flat seals located on each side of the can ister ;
1 - Clean injectors one by one and check their state. lf necessary, report to the spare
parts list;
- Clean ali canister bores ;
1 - Proceed to the reassembly of injectors using the purchased tool and a mallet.
it is recommended to apply a thin layer of grease on both O-rings to
J - Reinstall the can ister of injectors proceeding in the reverse order of disassembly.
CAUTION!
J NO STEAM CLEANING.

SPARE PARTS
Spare parts must meet the technical req uirements defineci by the manufacturer. This is
always the case with orlginal spare parts.
The shortest delivery time for obtaining spare parts is six weeks. However, this time may be
longer for some parts.
When ordering spare parts, always specify the part reference number shown on the
relevant spare part drawings and sketches, together with the reference number of the unit
(identifıcati on plate) .
it would be advisable tor customers to keep in stock a certain number of parts tor emergency
repairs.

The operating loads whlch can be applled to anchors are generally dependent on th0

in this table CC and AS signify:
1 - CC: eurrent eonditions of conerete manufacture;
- AS: eurrent eonditions of eonerete manufaeture with monitored self regulation .
1 Monitored self regulation essentially oeeurs due to the inereased rigour that it introduces
into the manufacturing process.
According to Euroeode 2, eompressive strength of eoncrete Is expressed in terms of
1 eharaeteristie strength defineci as being the strength value below which a max. of 5 % of
the whole possible strength measures of the specified eoncrete must be registered.
The strength must be determined according to ISO 4012 on cubie speeimens 150 mm x
150 x 150 (fek eube) or on eylindrleal speeimens i 50 mm x 300 mm (fek eyi.) 28 days

Concrete is classified according to its eompressive strength which is based on the
classification per strengths measured on cylinders as indicated in Eurocode 2. Far
1 information, the table below gives the correlation between characteristic values and
average strength on eylindrieal and eubic specimens in N/mm2.

The end of the threaded rod with the socket is inserted in the male adapter which
is mounted on an electric or pneumatic drill with hammer-drill action (tor M8
and
M 1O sizes, rotary action alo ne is used).
The pointed end (7) comes into contact with the capsule. Wh en the drill is started,
the impact breaks the tube and then the capsule contai r:ı ing th e setting agent.
The rotation of the stud mixes the resin, the granules, the glass fragmen ts and
the
setting agent and creates a synthetic mortar which progressively hardens and
fixes
the stud in the supporting material. The synthetic mortar must come up at least
as
far as the surface of the wall.
The rate of hardening depends on the ambient temperature and the moisture in
the
concrete.
The present specific ation deals only with the use of the SPIT MAXI EA
in
reinforced or ureinforced concrete . in the case of rendered concrete, the thicknes
s
of the _render should be disregarded when calculating the penetration depth.
The
concrete must be sound without any cracks or cavities.
it is possible to use the SPIT MAXI· EA in other solid construction materials, but
the
values indicated in this specification must not be used. Please consult us regardin
g
the specific tests to be conducted in such cases.

1 Caution : Continual rotation of the stud after installing the anchor in the manner
described above will result in synthetic mortar coming out of the hole. This will impair
the quality of the fixing.
ı it is important to insert the stud into the hole .with rotary action only for M8 and M1 O
sizes or with rotary hammer action for other diameters to ensure thorough mixing of
the components in the capsule.
Studs inserted without rotary action will not be capable of withstanding the
maximum loads.
Tightening torques
The quality of the fixing can be verified individually or statistically after hardening by
using a torque wrench to apply the torque indicated in the following table:
