Upgrade Kit Xsample Vial Detector

1 Spring
2 Snap ring
3 Vial detector

Required tools

- Allen key 3 mm
- Small slotted screw driver
- Torx T10 screw driver
- Torx T20 screw driver

Replacing the vial detector

1. Remove Xsample as described in the service manual.

2. Remove the metal cover of Xsample by unscrewing the six fixing screws.
3. Remove the magazine support by unscrewing the four fixing screws.
4. Disconnect the cables of the magazine motor and the vial detection system.
5. Unscrew the two Torx T20 fixing screws and remove the magazine drive, see fig. 2.

6. Push the vial detector in and hold it in that position, see (1) in fig. 3.
7. Remove the snap ring with a small slotted screwdriver and pull the vial detector out of its guiding, see (2) in
fig. 3.

8. Check the slide bearings. If the bearings moved a bit out of the drilling, cut off the ends with a utility knife.
The two slide bearings have to be flush with the surface.

9. Mount the new vial detector with the new spring.

10. Fix the vial detector with the snap ring.
11. Reassemble all parts in reverse order.

NOTICE
• During reassembling, especially when fixing the screws, move the vial detector in
and out to prevent blockage.
• Do not apply any kind of lubricant.
