Flow
1) Open the inlet valves on line to inject anti fouling liquid to the sea chest.
2) Run the pump andJfcijfcsthe sea water flow into the electrolysis tank.
3) After adjusting sea water flow into electrolysis tank and each sea chest,
Operate the controller power unit.

0 Make sure the switchs off of the main switch (SO) and of the line switchs (Sl~2), and turn the
output adjusters (VR1-2), to counter clockwise.
2) Power on the main switch (SO) and make sure the pilot lamp (W) for main power glowing.
3) Power on the line switchs (SI —2), and make sure the pilot lamps (RL1~2), for line power glowing,
and adjust the output as follows by output adjustcr(VRl ~ 2).

4) Low flow (Abnomal) lamp shows that seawater flow rate into the electrolysis
tank is too low Control panel.
When the flow (Abnomal) lamp is light C-TEC system will be cut off automatically.
Please check pipe lines of the C-TEC system. 'v

Seawater 865 mJ/hr (Normal)
Use for about eight (8) months during year _______
Unit No. Output set point Ion (ppm)
AF 1/2 3.0 Amp 0.004 ppm
FE 1/2 6.5 Amp 0.008 ppm
The anode life term is drawing to a close, outputcurent(A) is toward to down from the setting value
also voltage(V) is toward to up tendency. .
In the case of anode consumed completely, the voltage is upto maximum (10V) and curent is impossibe
to adjiust even if turn adjuster fully clockwise.
In this case should be exchange anode for the new one because it is consumed completely.

ANODE LIFE
Though anodes, life at output current set point is specified as follows, the setting point can be changed
according to the condition of seawater line, such as qenerating qrade of marine growth and efficiency
of heat exchanger.
The life of anodes is changeable according to value of output current.
Anode life based on the above S. W. flow rate and an output current of the separate sheet.
POLE CHANGER ^ -
The polarity of the anode plate and the cathode is changed with the timer at regular intervals and
electrolyzes alternately . (For two hours)
In case the electrolysis tank is cathodic, Hydroxide is adhered to inner surface the electrolysis tank.
The electrolysi tank provide plural couples (Anode/Cathode) of pole in it.
By the above function, noadhesion of hydroxide occurs oh inner surface on the electrolysis tank.
And hydroxide generated by pole exchanging is made lesser gathered at bottom of the electrolysis tank.
The most of qathered hydroxide is discharged together with drainnnage by drain valve manual
oprating when the system output and S. W. flow rate check at of 1 or 2 times a day. л-;-*"■
:
Thus removal work of hydroxide from electrolysis tank is reduced.
By the way, no adjustment of pole changer is neccesary because the device was pre-set for pole
exchanging every few hours.

Maintenance and Care of C - TEC System
Daily
Output Current
If reading of output current is varying from current setting as per specified output set point re
adjust the system (VR).
Output Voltage
Normaly driven anode voltage is kept the setting value within a several voltage (CA. 3.0 V - 7.0 V)
is increased accordingly when the anode materials is gradually cosumed.
The conductivity of sea water is low (To River or Lake, Zero current readings and High Voltage)
and deposit is much accumelated inside of the electrolysis tank.
Note
Under sea water, if the voltage is extraordinary high or the specified current cant be obtained by
adjusters (VR) .Check anode wasted or not and accumulation of deposit inside of electrolysis tank.
It is necessary to renew anode, If heavy wasted and to remove deposit if much accumulated.
2) Blow off
Please shut the outlet valve (open inlet valve) and then fully open drain valve to remove deposit
on bottom of electrolysis tank.
Please adjust valve opening with in specified rate of the treated sea water by means of watching
flow meter installed.
1) Please send the system log to us iva your company so that we can know C-TEC System is good
controlled or not.

(1) There must be a staight pipe on both the upstream and downsttream sides. (Refer to catalog.)
(2) Install the (flanges on both sides of the detector assembly and secure the flanges using nuts am
bolts.
Irrespective of pipe size, the distance between the flanges must be 80 1 mm.
(3) Though the pipe direction is optional, install the flowmeter so that the flow direction matches
the arrow mark on the detector assembly.
(D After piping is completed, (ully close the equalizingvalves to prevent any foreign matter from
entering, and run the flowmeter for ssome time.
© Then, fully open the equalizing valve and conttinuc to run the flowmeter for abut another 20
seconds to remove air from insede of the flowmeter.
© Finally, fully close the equalizing valve. The flow rate can now be measured.

® Loosen the switch securing screw and set the setting pointer to the alarm setting flow rate
value while holding the switch holder.
@ Tighten the switch securing screw and install the front cover.
