10 Page Essay Topics

Writing a 10-page essay can be a daunting task that requires careful planning, extensive research, and
effective time management. The difficulty lies not only in the length of the essay but also in the need
to maintain coherence, clarity, and a strong argument throughout the entire piece. Here are some
challenges that one might encounter when tasked with such an assignment:

1. Thorough Research: To fill 10 pages with meaningful content, you need to conduct
thorough research to gather enough information and evidence to support your argument. This
requires access to credible sources, and the ability to sift through a large volume of
information.
2. Structural Organization: Maintaining a logical flow and coherent structure is crucial for a
lengthy essay. Dividing the content into introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion while
ensuring smooth transitions between ideas is challenging.
3. Time Management: Writing a 10-page essay requires effective time management.
Procrastination can be a significant hurdle, and breaking down the task into manageable
chunks is essential to meet the deadline without compromising the quality of the content.
4. Argument Development: Developing a compelling and nuanced argument throughout the
essay is challenging. Each point should be supported by evidence and analysis, contributing
to an overall persuasive narrative.
5. Avoiding Repetition: It's crucial to avoid redundancy and repetition, which can be tempting
when trying to meet the page requirement. Each paragraph should add value and bring
something new to the discussion.
6. Editing and Proofreading: With a lengthy piece, the likelihood of overlooking errors
increases. Editing and proofreading become even more crucial to ensure the essay is free
from grammatical mistakes, typos, and other issues that could detract from its quality.
7. Meeting Requirements: Staying within the specified word count while effectively
addressing the essay prompt can be challenging. Striking the right balance between depth and
conciseness is a constant consideration.

Despite these challenges, completing a 10-page essay is certainly possible with careful planning and
dedication. Seeking guidance from professors, utilizing writing resources, and maintaining a
disciplined approach to the task can significantly enhance the writing process.

Marxist Theory And Its Impact On Society
Introduction to sociology
Marxism believes that that society is based upon conflicts of interest . They believe that
the most important conflict is between the Bourgeoisies and the Proletariats. The
bourgeoisies are the capitalist class that own most of society s means and productions.
Whereas the proletariats are the working class people. Social class is used to explain how
and why societies change. Class conflict is where change occurs through the opposition
of the social classes as what they see to be collective interests in society. However,
Marxism believes that the capitalism can only thrive on the mistreatment of the working
class. The bourgeoisies are what Marxists believe dominate society as they are the ones
that make the profit. Marxism believes that capitalism is not only an economic system
but also a political system.

Marxist theory finds it difficult to explain the presence of certain phenomena (for
example Kerry Katona has lots of money but is from a working class background).
It overlooks the idea that other factors may help to shape society.
Functionalist understand society in a different way. They believe that each aspect of
society is interdependent and contributes to society s stability and functioning as a
whole. For example: children are sent to school on tax payer s money that the working
parents will pay. This then opens up for the child to get a good education and get a good
job. They believe that instead of society being split into classes that
Maximus as the Hero in Ridley Scott s Gladiator Essay
Maximus as the Hero in Ridley Scott s Gladiator

Ridley Scott s gladiator recreates the entire world of ancient Rome in living glory on the
screen. The shots of coliseum, intact and swarming with crowds of spectators are breath
taking. The story has a classic three act structure, moving Maximus, Decimus and
Meridius from warrior to slave to gladiator and each step is incredibly exciting. In
addition, Scott stages half a dozen elaborate action sequences like there s no tomorrow,
pulling out all the stops, and filling the screen with swords, tigers and chariots. The
brilliant imagery of director really jumps of the screen, making this an Oscar winning
motion picture. The ample Digital effects makes ... Show more content on

The second camera shot I have chosen is when there is a close up on Maximum s face
which is looking at the robin. The robin demonstrates us Maximus s love for nature
which proves that he freedom fighter. The third scene I have selected is when
Maximus is walking down his army and every one is greeting him. This demonstrates
us that maximus has a high reputation and is someone who is looked up to. This also
illustrates the love and affection for maximus from his soldiers and even by animals as
the dog was following him when the war was about to begin. The last scene I have
chosen is when there is a slow motion when the Romans had won the war. This connotes
the supremacy and authority they had during these times.

The main character of this motion picture is Maximus. Throughout the film, the
audience sees his loving character, his love for Rome and his fellow Gladiators, and
love for his wife and kid. Secondly, Maximus is physically strong and this enables him
to win every battle he fights in. The actor Russell Crowe developed a muscle physique
and especially in the violent combat scenes director Ridley Scott uses close ups of his
muscular body. By doing this he ensures we link Maximus with strength and agility.
Because of this, he is seen as the hero. Maximus always played the game
Personal Narrative Of Pain Is A Funny Thing

Paper #2: Personal Narrative
Pain is a funny thing. Sometimes it strikes suddenly, a lightning strike in a quiet blue
sky. It tears through you and for a few seconds you cannot breathe; cannot think. This
was different. This pain was patient and slow. It crept up on me; starting as just an
annoying dull ache in my hip. Gradually growing confidence, steadily growing until the
roar of the pain became so loud, I could not focus on anything else. But I was stubborn. I
told myself I could push through it; that I had to push through it. Nationals were only
two weeks away. I could not afford to lose any time...
I was torn. On one hand, I had hope that maybe if I saw a doctor, they could fix it and
ease the pain. On the other, I was scared. The risk that they would pull me out of dance
and not let me compete at nationals seemed to outweigh the benefits. It was my dance
teacher that finally convinced me to see a doctor.
I remember feeling dazed walking into the hospital; everything was a blur yet seemed to
happen in slow motion. And the smell. It was overwhelming and stale. I was detached,
just going through the motions: walk here, get wristband, sit, stay, wait. The waiting was
the worst part. My mind began to spin. Worrying, and waiting, and contemplating, and
waiting and waiting... My fingers began to restlessly tap, dancing out the rhythm of my
steps over and over. I fell into a daze, nothing processing except
