How To Write A Good Expository Essay

Writing an essay on the topic "How To Write A Good Expository Essay" may initially seem like a
straightforward task, as the subject matter appears self-referential. However, delving into the
intricacies of expository writing can reveal its inherent challenges. Crafting a compelling and
informative expository essay requires a deep understanding of the topic, a clear and organized
structure, and the ability to convey information in a coherent and engaging manner.

One of the difficulties lies in the need for thorough research to gather relevant and credible
information. A good expository essay demands a solid foundation of facts, examples, and evidence
to support the central theme. This research phase can be time-consuming and requires careful
evaluation of sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Structuring the essay poses another challenge. An effective expository essay should have a clear
introduction, a well-developed body with logically organized paragraphs, and a concise conclusion.
Achieving a seamless flow between these sections while maintaining coherence and relevance is a
task that demands careful consideration and planning.

Additionally, the writer must strike a balance between providing enough information to support the
thesis and avoiding unnecessary details. Ensuring that the content is accessible to the target audience
without sacrificing depth is a delicate task that requires a keen understanding of the reader's
perspective.

Moreover, mastering the art of transitions is crucial in expository writing. Seamless connections
between ideas and paragraphs help guide the reader through the essay, enhancing comprehension and
overall readability. Struggling with transition words and phrases can hinder the essay's effectiveness.

In conclusion, writing a good expository essay is no easy feat. It involves extensive research,
meticulous planning, and skillful execution in presenting information. Overcoming the challenges of
gathering relevant data, structuring the essay effectively, maintaining a balance between depth and
accessibility, and ensuring smooth transitions all contribute to the complexity of this task.

God Of The Earth Essay
Darkness fills a land where evil is barely contained, illuminated by the five gushing
rivers that characterize the land, each unique to their region of hell. At the center, the
infamous river of Styx flows from Oceanus, creating a boundary between the land of
the living and the land of the dead. The Kokytos river branches southward off of Styx
feeding into the marsh. On the other side of the marsh, the Acheron river ebbs and
flows southeast. Northwest of Styx, towards the Gates of Ivory lays the waters of Lethe,
the river of forgetfulness. Circling the Northern region of Tartarus flows Phlegethon,
winding like a python ready to choke the life out of its prey. Close to Phelegethon, east
of Tartus, is the plain of Judgments where cries of... Show more content on

Mi lady, came a death whisper that filled the silence in an uncanny hollow way. Mi lord
has returned.

Proserpina was sure that the spirit could hear her heart rate that was pounding in her
ears. She forced her sob down and refused to cry out in agony. Hades was damned to this
land just as much as she was, and there was no shock that he had returned. She just
thought she had a few more days free of her husband, king, and tormentor. Not for the
first time her anger for Jupiter burned in her heart, for surely he would have control over
Pluto enough to force her release, but no the gods were powerless. Not for the first time,
Proserpina wished she would have died slowly instead of eating those seeds prolonging
her suffering.

Mi lady, whispered the laureus. With the speed of Mercury, Proserpina unsheathed her
dagger and launched it towards the laureus head. With a hellish scream the demon
dissipated before her. Proserpina grinned at her blade, as she bent to pick it up and
place it back in its sheathe. If only she could do that to her husband, she would be free.

Proserpina followed the spirit through the palace and went to the throne room at the
heart of the palace. Her husband stood regally on his dais and leered down at her as she
approaches the steps the way he did every time she was summoned. Breathing deep
through her nose, she performed the ridiculous roman ritual he demanded
Lowering The Legal Drinking Age
Lowering of the Legal Drinking Age Research Paper Adults under 21 are able to vote,
sign contracts, serve on juries, and enlist in the military, but are told that they are not
mature enough to have a beer?, said Ruth C. Engs, a professor of Applied Health
Sciences at Indiana University (Engs). No matter what is done, teenagers and young
adults all over America are going to drink if they want to. The question is, why can t
they start legally drinking when they enter adulthood? An alternative to simply
lowering the minimum legal drinking age could be thought of, such as, having a
learner s permit for responsible drinking for people between the ages of 18 21. In
other cultures where the minimum legal drinking age is lower, there is not as large of
a problem with drinking. Lowering the minimum legal drinking age would stop
criminalizing a large amount of people for the minor crime of underage drinking,
which on your record makes it hard for young people to apply for jobs or apply to
colleges. Underage Drinking in America Realistically, teenagers are going to drink no
matter what. The minimum drinking age debate in America seems to primarily revolve
around one issue: drunk driving. The increased minimum drinking age does not solve the
problem of drunk driving in any real way, it just shifts drunk driving deaths into a
slightly older age group. Additionally, because teenagers are afraid of getting caught
drinking, many end up drinking large amounts of alcohol in short
Roman Temple Research Paper
The History of Roman Temples
The Roman Temples and the history of Roman Architecture was divided into two
distinctive eras. The first era was of the Roman Republic where the origins of Roman
architecture can be traced to the Etruscans, who migrated from Asia Minor to Italy in the
12th Century BC. The ancient Etruscans mirrored the Greek and the Phoenician
traditions building large temples to honour their Gods. The second era started in 27BC
and is classed as the period of the Roman Empire. Ancient Roman temples are among the
most visible archaeological remains of Roman culture, and are a significant source for
Roman architecture. Their construction and maintenance was a major part of ancient
Roman religion. The main room (cella) housed the ... Show more content on

The temples were built with the same style as the other common buildings, using a
pillar structure surrounding one box shaped room. Churches and temples were often
lavishlay decorated, as they were built as a place to worship the gods, it was believed
that the place of worship should be held to a high standard.

The walls were often painted with murals that reflected typical Roman life, with
sculptures of gods and godesses lining the walls. Treasures were kept inside the
temples, away from the worshippers and hidden underneath the floor. The treasures were
supposedly donated to these temples, and are saved to pay for repairs to the temple if
need be.Some roman temples were perfectly circular, supposedly to represent the unity of
the roman people as a whole, in rectangular buildings, the fron was empahsized instead.

In Ancient Rome a fundamental basis of the religion was the belief that if the Gods and
Goddesses were happy then they would receive good fortune. It was therefore
important to worship the Roman deities on both a daily basis and by special
pilgrimages. Fresco Romai, This quote shows that the basis for Roman worship was just
an attempt to win favor and blessings from their gods, they only worshiped out of fear, not
Attending A Jazz Concert At Uncw
I chose to attend a jazz concert at UNCW on September 28th, 2016. The musicians
playing were: Jerald Shynett on trombone, Andy Whittington on piano, Natalie Boeyink
on bass, Justin Hoke on guitar and Michael D Angelo on drums. There were two special
guests playing with this ensemble: Lynn Grissett on trumpetand Ryan Mulder on
saxophone (joined them on stage for only a few select pieces).
Upon walking in to the theater the stage was set with the piano on stage left the drums
on stage right and the lighting was set to colors of blue and purple. At 7:31 the
auditorium lights were turned down and 6 musicians walk on stage and take their places.
The first song played was Hope Street written by Tom Harrell. The piece was started off
with Jerald snapping his fingers to a quick beat and then the Trumpet (Lynn) starts with a
loud entrance. The other musicians join in and copy his notes as he plays. When the
trumpet hits the high notes he trills the note as he holds it before dropping back down in
PITCH to match the rest of the instruments. The bass, drums, and guitar carry the beat
and the trumpet and trombone take turns playing in a sort of solo. As the trumpet and
trombone fall back into rhythm with the other instruments the tempo becomes quick and
the guitar take the lead in the piece. All three solos mirror each other in notes and
TEMPO as the rest of the instruments keep the rhythm and beat. All instruments join in
at the same note and continue playing together now in a
Essay on Yamashiro Restaurant Review
Yamashiro Restaurant

Dave Thomas an American restaurateur and a philanthropist once said, It all comes
back to the basic. Serve customers the best tasting food at a good value in a clean,
comfortable restaurant, and they ll keep coming back. (thomas). Everyone can agree
on Dave Thomas, but I have a couple more criteria to add to his idea of a great
successful restaurant. If I go out to eat I might as well pick a place that, though may be
expensive, has scrumptious food because why bother going to spend money on food you
can make yourself? A great restaurant has to meet three of my criteria s: the Décor and
atmosphere, impeccable service and cleanliness, and most importantly the food.

Inside contains the lavish woodwork and silk wallpaper that has not been torn down due
to its significance this structure had in Los Angeles history. People that go there have a
choice of where they prefer to be seated: The Japanese Garden Court, Koi room,
Skyview room, Sunset room, pool bar, or the lounge. Each of these rooms has their
own theme and particular view. The Japanese Garden Court is absolutely beautiful
because the actual seating area wraps around a manicured Zen garden with a soothing
waterfall and colorful Koi pond. Then this also leads to the Koi room a delicate
ornately painted room that also has its own Koi pond and garden. The Skyview room
is glass enclosed with vista prospect of Hollywood. I then head over to the sunset
room, where you see the sun goes to sleep and the moon rises. The pool bar is breath
taking because of its 800 year old Japanese Pagoda and newly renovated pool. The
lounge is positioned so that every 400 of the seats can provide the best views of the
city. As I was walking through these sections, I noticed the atmosphere changed my
mood. When I was in the Japanese Garden court and Koi room, I felt a sense of
romance. In the other rooms, particularly the Skyview room, I felt a sense of
tranquility. Each space has its own particular ambience but all evoke a sense of opulent
calm, a rare treat in hectic LA. At the end of my little tour, I decided to choose the
Japanese Garden room. I just could not resist the Koi pond with
Chaos Things Fall Apart
As the chaos of the world unfurls, the forces of good must counterbalance this force
for without good, chaos holds no reference to compare it against to make chaos
chaotic. This notion holds true for all forces in the universe as Newton s famous Third
Law states that for every action there is an equal and opposite re action, thus when
chaos reigns, good reacts to counterbalance chaos and bring the system into
equilibrium. However, this relationship may not hold true forever as the reaction
between chaos and good creates entropy chaotic destruction that eventually will bring
chaos it s inevitable victory over good. Mankind attempts to create order through
societal mores to dictate the chaotic nature of the world, however, when the falcon flies
too far from its nest the falcon falls into the perceived chaos of the world. When the
Europeans reached too far into the heart of darkness of Africa, they attempted to create
order where they perceived to be chaos, however, those who inhabit this so called chaotic
land saw the chaos of the furious European falcons and attempted to protect the good of
their land.
