MATHEMATICS PRIMARY 6 CIRCLE AND TRANSLATION REVIEW

1. Draw a circle with a diameter of 10 cm. Find the area and circumference
of the circle. (π=3.14 )
Area = 3.14 x 5 x 5 = 78.5 cm❑2
Circumference = 3.14 x 10 = 31.4 cm

2.Find the area and circumference of the circle with the radius of 14 cm.
22
(π= )
7
22
Area = 7 x 14 x 14 = 616 cm❑2
22
Circumference = 7 x 28 = 88 cm
22
3. Find the area and the perimeter of the quarter circle. (π= 7 )

21
cm
22
Area = 7 x 21 x 21 = 1386 cm2
1386 ÷ 4= 346.5 cm2

22
Circumference = 7 x 42 = 132 cm
132 ÷ 4= 33 cm
Perimeter = 33 + 42 = 75 cm

4.The wooden board has a semi-circle shape and has a diameter of 40

cm. Find the area and perimeter of the wooden board. (π=3.14 )
Area = 3.14 x 20 x 20 = 1256 cm2
1256 ÷ 2= 628 cm2
Circumference = 3.14 x 40 = 125.6
125.6÷2 = 62.8
62.8 + 40 = 102.8 cm
