1. Among of the festivals, what is your most favorite festival and why?

The Panagbenga Festival in Baguio City is my absolute favorite. Even though I'm not from the
province, this celebration holds a special place in my heart as it symbolizes hope and resilience. What
captivates me the most is the emphasis on flowers, with the city bursting into vibrant colors as people
don flower costumes, ethnic sandals, and headdresses. It goes beyond celebrating nature's beauty; it's a
powerful symbol of the community's strength to bloom after challenges. With its cultural significance
and visual splendor, the Panagbenga Festival stands out as the prettiest in the country, making it my top
choice among all festivals.

2. Among of the festivals, what is your least favorite festival and why?

For me, I don't have a least favorite festival. Each festival celebrates its own uniqueness, and I
appreciate them all. However, considering the festivals I know or am familiar with, the Pahiyas Festival is
particularly intriguing to me, especially since I just learned about it on the day of our discussion. I am
amazed by discovering this festival, especially with its celebration in Lucban, Quezon. The creativity
displayed in the improvised costumes designed by local tourists and the edible decorations make the
Pahiyas Festival a truly captivating and unforgettable experience.

3. How these festival helps one culture?

Festivals in the Philippines play a crucial role in preserving and promoting culture through the
showcase of traditional practices, dances, and attire. Serving as platforms for communities to share
unique customs and stories, these events foster unity and pride, reinforcing a strong cultural identity
among locals. Vibrant celebrations ensure the passage of heritage from one generation to the next,
preventing the forgetting of customs and values. Whether religious, cultural, or both, these festivals are
celebrated monthly across the country, often accompanied by trade fairs and amusement parks. Dating
back to the Spanish colonial period, many festivals originated as celebrations of patron saints, becoming
vital instruments in spreading Christianity throughout the diverse communities of the Philippines.
