Introductory Message
Welcome to 21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the World for
Grade 11!

The 21st Century Literature of the Philippines and the World Activity Sheet is a
product of the collaborative efforts of the Schools Division of Iloilo City and DepEd
Regional Office VI - Western Visayas through the Curriculum and Learning
Management Division (CLMD). This is developed to guide the learning facilitators
(teachers, parents and responsible adults) in helping the learners meet the standards
set by the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum.

The 21st Century Literature of the Philippines and the World Activity Sheet is
self-directed instructional materials aimed to guide the learners in accomplishing
activities at their own pace and time using the contextualized resources in the
community. This will also assist the learners in acquiring the lifelong learning skills,
knowledge and attitudes for productivity and employment.

For learning facilitator:

Activity Sheet will help you facilitate the teaching-learning activities specified in each
Most Essential Learning Competency (MELC) with minimal or no face-to-face
encounter between you and learner. This will be made available to the learners with

Producing a Creative Representation of a Literary Text

I. Learning Competency
Produce a creative representation of a literary text by applying ICT.

II. Background Information for Learners

Technology is best seen as another tool in the range available to


learners and teachers for expression and communication. (Andrews et.al, 2006)
Among those technologies is the ICT or "Information and Communication
Technologies." It refers to technologies that provide access to information
through telecommunications. It is similar to Information Technology (IT), however,
ICT focuses primarily on communication technologies. This includes the Internet,
wireless networks, cell phones, and other communication mediums. ICT
permeates all aspects of life, providing newer, better, and quicker ways for people
to interact, network, seek help, gain access to information, and learn.

The use of information and communications technologies (ICT) is one of


the most important tools in learning enhances the characteristics of creative
thinking such as the imagination, originality, and innovation, as well as the
development of divergent thinking.

In this learning activity sheet, you will produce a creative representation


of a text by applying ICT.

IV. Activity Proper

Exercise 1

Instructions: Produce a creative representation of a text applying your skills in ICT.


With the use of your smart phone, tablet, laptop or desktop you are going to make a
campaign about precautionary measures to exercise in this pandemic. Use Power
Point Presentation to present your output. Post your finished output your Facebook
account or any other platforms (as required by your subject teacher).

Exercise 2
Instructions: Produce a creative representation of a text by making a vlog with a
content about the experiences of students like you who are attending a distance
learning or homeschooling. Make sure that your vlog contains wholesome language
and pictures. Use your smart phones, laptop, tablet or other communication devices
available to you. Post your finished product in the Facebook, upload in YouTube or
any other platforms available for submission.
