There are many best composers in ancient times but there are 3 composers that
are known in this era. Those are Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian
Bach, and Wolfgang Amadeus Zart. Beethoven expanded the boundaries of the
symphony, the sonata, the concerto, and the quartet, breaking many conventions
of Classical music in the process. Bach was a violinist and frequently traveled
overseas purchasing musical scores. Bach spent a lot of time writing
instrumental music while he was a student at Cöthen, including sonatas for
several different instruments, dance suites, and orchestral concertos. Lastly, He
is the only composer who has created works that are outstanding in every
musical genre of the time. Mozart started his career as a child prodigy, rumored
to have the ability to perform music at age three and create music at age five.
The Marriage of Figaro, Elvira Madigan, and Clarinet Quintet in A Major are
notable works.
2. There are 5 characteristics of Gregorian chant, first, it is monophonic, has free
rhythm, is sung by a capella and it is a prayer.
3. Lyric poetry, ballads, and hymns were poetry genres are used in medieval times. Lyric
poetry was formal poetry that frequently uses the first person to communicate personal
sentiments or emotions. For example, the poetry of William Shakesphere the “Sonnet
18”.For ballads frequently a story with music. The medieval French balladée or ballade,
which were original "dance songs," is where ballads get their name. And lastly the hymn,
its a type of song, usually religious and partially coincident with devotional song, specifically
written for the purpose of adoration or prayer, and typically addressed to a deity or deities, or
to a prominent figure or personification. For Example, Many hymns were inspired by
hardship and struggle. Amazing Grace is one of the most well-known songs, and it is often
sung or played during funerals and other sorrowful occasions.
