Music –has rhythm and it is one of the basic elements of music.

Rhythm- is the combination of sounds and silences in time.
 All rhythm are based on steady beats
 Pattern of duration of sounds and silences
Notes- are symbols of sounds.
Rest – are symbols that indicate the duration of silences in music
Sounds – vibrations which are transmitted usually through air to the
eardrum, which sends impulses to the brain.
Beats – regular , recurrent pulsation that divide the music into equal
units of time.
