The Golden Snail

Scene 1
Narator : Kertamarta was the King of Daha. He had two daughters. They are Dewi Galuh
and Dewi Kirana. Both of them were beautiful and kind. Dewi Kirana was purpose to Inu
Kertapati. He was the Prince of Kahuripan Kingdom. He was a just and wise person.

The King : “Kirana”

Dewi Kirana : “Yes, dad”
The King : “I think I was too old. I want you to enganged with Raden Inu Kertaparti from the
kingdom of Kahuripan”
Dewi Kirana :“yes, my father I will do it for our queendom, for you, and for my love.”
Dewi Galuh : “What? I disagree with this. Why are not me dad?”
The King : “it’s my choice. Kirana it’s better than you, she is smarter, prettier than you, and
she has good behaviour too”
Dewi Kirana : “Thank you dad to trust me”
The King : “Of course my princess”
Dewi Galuh : “It’s not fair to me, i never disagree with this.” (left the room angrily)

Scene 2
Narator : The people in the Kingdoms celebrated the good news of the engagement and
very one was happy, except one. The jealous Lady was Dewi Galuh. Galuh did not enjoy
the news because she also wanted to become the wife of the Prince. She looked a way to
get rid of Kirana. The day when Kirana enganged with a kind and wise person from
Kahuripan Queendom named Raden Inu Kertapati.
The King : “ladies and gentleman! today, my daughter Kirana enganged with Raden Inu
Kertapati. May they will be happy until the end of time and they will marry one month
after this moment I’m happy now and I hope all of you feel what I feel.”
Inu Kertapati : “thanks a lot, Kirana. I will always love you forever I promise.”
Dewi Kirana : “I just can give my heart for you. Thank you so much.”
Narator : Meanwhile, in another place, Dewi Galuh is planning something
Dewi Galuh : “I need to find a way to separate the Prince and the Princess before they get
married I really hate this moment.”

Scene 3
Narator : Dewi Galuh went to the witch.

Dewi Galuh : “I have a job for you….”

Witch : What is that?
Dewi Galuh : “I want you to kill Kirana.”
Witch : “No, I can’t.”
Dewi Galuh : “Why?”
Witch : “I am scared. Because my job is not to kill someone.”
Dewi Galuh : “Then, what can you do to remove Kirana?”
Witch : “I can change her into golden snail.”
Dewi Galuh : “It’s okay.”
Witch : “This for you. (give a bottle liquid) It can change Kirana into golden snail.”
Dewi Galuh : “How can?”
Witch : “You must splash this liquid on her body and say the spell.”
Dewi Galuh : “Spell what?”
Witch : “The spell is ‘man man man cung cung cung’ remember, after she turned into the
snail, you must throw it to the river. If someone found it, it will change into Kirana again.”
Dewi Galuh : “Okay. I will remember it. Thank you.”
Witch : “You’re welcome.”

Scene 4
Narator : At the night when Kirana was going to sleep, Galuh went to Kirana’s room.
Dewi Kirana : “Galuh, what are you doing here?”
Dewi Galuh : “No, I can’t sleep, dear. I want to sleep with you tonight.”
Dewi Kirana : “Oh, alright. And what is that? The bottle in your right hand”
Dewi Galuh : “Umm (panic) nothing. You know at the night sometimes I…I…I’m thirsty.”
Dewi Kirana : “Oh okay, let’s sleep…”
Dewi Galuh : (splash the magic water) “man man man cung cung cung.”
Dewi Kirana : “What?! Galuh, what are you doing?!??!! (panic)
Dewi Galuh : “Bye Kirana.. I wanna throw you to the river!” (smirk)

Scene 5
Narator : One day, a old woman looking for fish in the river.
Old woman : nothing fish for me? Hey, what is that? It’s gold and shiny! Possibly it’s a gold?
Oh… it’s snail. Golden snail. What a stranger animal. I wanna take it home.” (then, the old
woman back to home and put the gold snail into the crock)

Scene 6
Narator : the next day, the old woman went to the river to catch some fish. When she back
to home, she was surprised because saw a lot ofdelicious on her table.
The Old Woman: "Oh my God! who would have sent all of this food? Thank you so much."
(the old woman, ate all of that food. The same thing happened everyday).
Scene 7
Narator : The old woman very curious where all the food came. She pretended to went to
the river and peeked from behind the house.
The Old Woman: “ha?” (the old woman surpriesed when looked the golden snail change
into beutiful girl who was cooking for her and then the old woman entered to the kitchen.)
“who are you girl?”
Dewi Kirana : “I’m a princess from Daha Kingdom. A witch envoy my sister change me into
a golden snail because she was envy with me.”
Narator : after that, Dewi Kirana changed again into the golden snail and the old woman
greatly amazed.

Scene 8
Narator : Raden Inu Kertapati looked for Dewi Kirana with turned into ordinary people. And then he
met a raven which was a wicth.

The Witch : “let me show you the way to find Dewi Kirana.”
Inu Kertapati : “you know it? (the rave keep nodding.) okay,let’s go!.”
Narator : The rave showed the wrong way to Inu Kertapati.
Scene 9
Narator : Along the way, they met a hungry old man.
Inu Kertapati : "so pity. It's a bit for you.."
The Old Man : "thanks a lot, boy. You are so kind with me."
Narator : The old man was having magic. He immediately hit the rave with his stick. The rave was
destroyed.
The Witch: "aaaaaaa!!"
The Old Man : “it is incarnation of the witch. It will mislead your way. Let me accompany you. ”

Scene 10
Narator : They arrived at a hut in the Dadapan village to asked for some water to drink.
Inu Kertapati : “excuse me.”
The Old Man: “may I ask for some water?”
The Old Woman: “of course,wait a minute.”
The Old Man: “okay.”
Narator : Inu Kertapati saw Dewi Kirana from the window. Dewi Kirana turned.
Inu Kertapati : “this is you, Dewi Kirana?”
Dewi Kirana : “raden Inu Kertapati?” (embrace)
Narator : The curse was gone. The old man and the old woman come happy with their meeting. And
they back to the pallace.

Scene 11
Narator : They arrived at the pallace.
Dewi Kirana : “you are very cruel, Galuh.”
Inu Kertapati : “you will get a punishment from the king.”
Dewi Galuh : “what do you mean? This is immposible! You! You! You! Kirana! No! It’s
immposible........”
Narator : Dewi Galuh ran away from the palace.

Scene 12
Narator : Inu Kertapati dan Dewi Kirana merried
Dewi Kirana : “kanda, I feel so happy.”
Inu Kertapati : “me too, dinda.”
Narator : The old man and the old woman who very kind with them also stayed at the pallace. All of
they, lived happily ever after.
