Once upon a time, in the palace of the Daha Kingdom, there lived a king and his two daughters. One
day, the King called his two daughters, because they would have a guest from the Karuhipan Kingdom
named Raden Inu Kertapati.

The King: "My daughters come here!" (Calling his two daughters)

Galuh: (Walking up to her father) "What is it, father?"

Kirana : (Walking behind Galuh Ajeng) "Did you call me too?"

King : "Yes my daughter, there is a very important notice... Tomorrow Raden Inu Kertapati from
Kahuripan Kingdom will come the day after tomorrow."

Kirana: "So, what does this have to do with us, father?"

King: "I have made an agreement with the father of Raden Inu Kertapati, that I will marry one of your
daughters to Raden Inu."

Galuh: (Glowing with pleasure) "Which one of us will be married to Raden Inu, father?"

Raja: "We have decided that Candra Kirana will marry Raden Inu Kertapati... and this decision is
inviolable!"

Galuh: (Bowing her head) "Sorry father, Galuh wants to go backwards... Excuse me. (Walks away while
bowing her head)

Kirana: (Looking at Galuh's departure, then looking at the King) "Thank you, Father... Kirana is very
happy.

King: "You are welcome my child... let's prepare everything..." (Stroking Kirana's head)

Meanwhile, Dewi Galuh, jealous of Kirana's good fortune to be married to Inu Kertapati, had an evil
intention to harm Kirana. She went to a witch's hut.

Galuh: "Excuse me, is there anyone inside?" (looking around)

Witch: "What do you need, sweet girl?" (walking with a stick)

Galuh : "I need your help! Please help me!"

Witch: "What do you want me to do?"

Galuh: "I want you to bewitch Candra Kirana into something disgusting! I definitely want Kirana to
suffer!"

Witch: "Alright, I will bewitch Candra Kirana so that she cannot get engaged and married to Raden Inu!"

Galuh: (Smiling happily) "Thank you for your help, it's nice to work with a witch like you! Here's some
money in return." (Gives an envelope containing money)

Witch: (Accepting the money) "Now I'll prepare a curse for him..."

Galuh: "I'll wait to hear from you, witch!" (leaves the witch's hut and returns to the palace).

The next day, Candra Kirana went to the market to buy supplies to welcome Raden Inu Kertapati
tomorrow. After returning from the market, Kirana passed by a river. At the river, Kirana was stopped by
an ugly old woman. The old woman was a witch who was ordered by Galuh to bewitch Kirana.

Witch: "Hwahahahaha!!! Candra Kirana! How are you, Huh? You look very happy today?
Hwahahahaha..."

Kirana: (surprised) "Who are you?"

Witch: "Shut up! I'm here to bewitch you into a conch!

Kirana : "Why do you want to bewitch me? What did I do wrong?"

Witch: "Your brother told me to bewitch you."

Kirana : "Galuh? No way, you must be lying!"

Witch: "There! Don't talk so much! Just accept your fate! hahahaha." (casts a spell to bewitch Kirana into
a conch)

Kirana: "No!" (turns into a golden conch)

Magician: "Hwahahaha.... You will only be human during the daytime, but when it's nighttime, you will
turn back into a conch!!! This curse will end when you meet Raden Inu!!! Hwahahaha!" (Throwing the
conch into the river)

Candra Kirana was cursed to become a golden conch and was thrown into the river to be stranded in
Dadapan Village. One day a grandmother was fishing with a net, and a golden conch was caught in the
net. She brought the golden conch home and put it in a pot.
Grandmother: "Oh, what a beautiful conch!!! I'll take it home!" When she arrived at the cottage, she put
the conch in a safe place. Then she rested on a chair for a while.

Grandmother: "I haven't gotten any fish yet. I have to look for more fish, if I don't get any, what will I
eat?" (Going out to look for fish)

The grandmother went back to look for fish in the river. Then, Kirana returned to her human form.

Kirana: "Why am I here? Oh yes, there was a grandmother who took me. She's so poor, she has to look
for fish to eat. I'll make some food for her."

By the end of the night, the woman didn't catch a single fish. When she got home, she was shocked to
find that there were delicious dishes on the table. The grandmother wondered to herself, who sent this
dish. The next day the grandmother went through a similar incident, the next morning the grandmother
wanted to take a peek at what happened when she went fishing. She pretended to go to the river to fish
as usual, then went to the back of the house to take a peek. After a while, she was very surprised.
Because the golden snail that was in the waiter turned into a beautiful girl. The girl then cooked and
prepared the dishes at the table. Feeling curious, the grandmother ventured to reprimand the beautiful
princess.

Grandmother: "Who are you, beautiful princess, and where are you from?"

Kirana: (Turning around in shock) "I'm .......I'm Candra Kirana. I am the princess of the kingdom of Daha
who was bewitched into a golden conch by my brother's magical grandmother because she was jealous
of me."

Grandmother: (Feeling compassion) "You're so poor, child...I don't know what kind of brother your
brother is, that he would want to curse you! But if a person is jealous, he will do anything! Well, you can
stay here for now, Nak..."

Kirana: "Thanks, Gran..."

Meanwhile, Prince Inu Kertapati did not want to stay silent when he found out that Candra Kirana was
missing. He searched for her by disguising himself as a commoner. The magic grandmother finally found
out and turned herself into a crow to harm Raden Inu Kertapati. Raden Inu Kertapati was very surprised
to see a crow that could speak and know its purpose. He thought the crow was magic and obeyed him
even though Raden Inu was given the wrong direction.
Raden Inu: (Surprised) "Who are you?"

Crow: "Relax young man, I will show you the direction to Dadapan Village, there you will meet Candra
Kirana."

Raden Inu: "How do you know the destination of my journey? Who are you?"

Crow: "You don't need to know who I am, just follow the directions I give you."

Raden Inu: "Alright, thank you for your help."

After walking quite a long way following the directions of the crow, Raden Inu did not find Dadapan
Village. On the way, Raden Inu met an old man who was starving, so he gave him something to eat. It
turned out that the grandfather was a good sage who helped Raden Inu from the crow.

Grandfather: "Please son, I haven't eaten for several days."

Raden Inu: "Oh, here, Grandpa, there's some food." (gives a piece of bread)

Grandfather : "Thank you young man. Don't follow the instructions given by the crow, he's actually the
incarnation of a witch, he's giving you the wrong direction."

Raden Inu: "Then what should I do, Grandpa?"

Grandfather: "Walk along this river, at the end you will find Dadapan Village."

Raden Inu : "Thank you kek, I will continue my journey."

Grandfather: "Be careful on your journey, young man."

Raden Inu : "All right, Grandfather."

After walking for days, Raden Inu arrived in Dadapan village. He approached a hut he saw to ask for a sip
of water because his supplies had run out. In the hut he was very surprised, because he met Candra
Kirana.  Finally, the magic of the sorceress was gone because of that encounter.

Raden Inu: "Ah, there's a hut over there! Maybe I can rest there for a while and at least get a sip of
water. I feel so tired after walking all this way." (Approaching the hut) "Excuse me!!!"
Kirana: "Yes, just a moment..." (opens the door)

Raden Inu: (Surprised) "Aren't you ....Candra Kirana?"

Kirana: "Raden Inu, why are you here?"

Raden Inu : "It's a long story, I've been looking for you for days. Now let's go home, your father is waiting
for you."

Kirana : "Thank you so much for saving me."

From inside the house came grandma's voice calling Kirana.

Grandma: "Who, Kirana?" (Walking towards Kirana)

Kirana : "Oh, Grandma...this is the Raden Inu that Kirana told me about last time. He picked Kirana up
to go home. But, Kirana couldn't bear to leave Grandmother alone."

Grandmother: "It's okay, Kirana. Go home, you must miss your family."

Raden Inu: "Tell you what, Grandmother come with us to the Palace and live with us."

Finally Raden Inu brought Candra Kirana and the kind grandmother to the palace, and Candra Kirana
told the King what Dewi Galuh had done. The King apologized to Candra Kirana and vice versa. Dewi
Galuh was then punished accordingly. Because Dewi Galuh was afraid, she fled to the forest. The
wedding of Candra Kirana and Raden Inu Kertapati took place, and the party was very lively. Finally they
lived happily.
