Methodology

I. The survey was distributed among 68 participants. 22 females and 46 males have participated in the survey
between the ages of 20 and 51.
II. Survey participants have different fields of experience and education (Finance, Sales, Marketing, Human
resources, Engineering, Dentistry & pharmacy).
III. The questionnaire consists of 9 multiple-choice questions, 1 close ended question, and 5 one to five Scale
questions. The questionnaire was distributed online via google document.

Findings
Results show that 38% from our participants see themselves moving to another companies, 29% are leading their
current team and 23.5% running their own businesses in the future

The pie chart below (figure 1) indicates that 43% of the participants believe that team work enhances employees’
engagement, 28% consider recognition as a key factor for intensifying employees’ engagement, while; 25% expecting
monetary to increase employees’ engagement.

Figure 2 shows that 35% of the participants believe


that active participation in decision making
increases employee’s loyalty, while; the remaining
participants are distributed equally among profit
share, being respected & empowerment of
employee as a main factor in increasing employee’s
loyalty.

Figure (3) shows that 65% of the participants believe that good team dynamics is the most important factor in a
healthy working environment, fair salary comes in the 2 nd place with 26%, while; both training & not exceeding
working hours’ factors has 4% each as a the most important factors in a healthy working environment.

With regard to the factors that increase absenteeism in the work place, Figure (4) illustrates that 53% of the
participants reported loss of interest as the main factor behind absenteeism, long working hours without
compensation came in the 2nd place with 38%, while; 9% are assuming workplace bullying as the main factor behind
increased absenteeism.

 Conclusion
Based on the findings, it could be inferred that the majority of the respondents relate increase team dynamics and
collaborations to the employee engagement in healthy work environment, while the hypothesis of the questionary is
the employee engagement will directly be affected by the monetary according to the hypothesis; So, the hypothesis is
rejected according to the survey findings; However, the team dynamics and collaborations are the following
hypothesis is suggested for future investigation.
