and this could be a step closer in achieving or developing the Globalization
and Multicultural Literacy skills of the students.

places and show the similarities and differences of your own culture to theirs.

Role-play
This is one of the activities where the students are provided with an
opportunity to learn and practice their Social Literacy skills. Role plays allow
students to practice their communication skills while acting out different
scenarios just as they would in real life situations. In this activity, the teacher
will provide scenarios in which the students can act out and offer immediate
feedback.
Instructions: The class will be divided into 5 groups. Each group would select
a scenario that should be different from the other groups and perform a role-
play about it. Each group can choose from the following scenarios:
 Disagreement or argument between friends (Choose a fun debate topic)
 Instructor giving instructions and students acting out what the
instructor is saying.
 Ordering and eating where there is a ‘problem’ with the food
 News reports on the happenings in town (You may invent ridiculous
stories)
 Passengers giving directions to a taxi driver with a poor sense of
direction
