Read the magazine article about four people (A-D) talking about Reading. Then answer Question 10 (a)-(j)

Reading Biographies and autobiographies is my favourite especially those which talk about how the
character changed from abject poverty to ultimate riches or the character which made a
transformational twist in his/her life. Looking through history , we can find lots of live examples such as
Sir Magdi Yacoub , the Egyptian British heart surgeon who took part in the first heart transplant
surgery in 1967 and opened up “The Chain of Hope” Organization which worked in developing
countries only to help those poor infants born with a congenital defect in the heart seplum , resulting
in inadequate circulation of oxygenated blood . Reading about those people usually gives me the idea
that nothing is impossible as long as we are living and breathing

Despite the fact that leadership literature or Mentor books are fictional , I still love reading them for
the moral embeded in the fable . Such morals may include change , meaningful life , optimism and
forgiveness . However , authors of these fables are sometimes biased or unfairly prejudiced against
someone or something . For example , an American author – whose books are always sold out –
denounced the idea of endowment or money donation as he believes it’s an insane act to spare your
money and waste it aimlessly . On the contrary , most mentor books appeal to me because I dive into
the story and become much more enthusiastic as well as optimistic , that is why I am now a CEO in one
of the multi-national companies that is internationally recognized

Apart from horror books , I like all types of books . However , when it comes to my favourite ,
it is definitely history books of all countries of the world especially Andalusia which is a large
autonomous region of hills , rivers and farmland bordering Spain’s southern coast . It was
under Moorish rule from the 8 th – 15th centuries , a legacy that shows in its architecture ,
including such landmarks as the Alcazar castle in sevilla , the capital city as well as Cordoba’s
Mequita Mosque – Cathedral and Granda’s Alhambra palace . Andalusia is the most populous
and the second largest in the area . I love to visit a place I read about to see how history and
architecture are both alive

As a teenager , I loathe reading about celebrities and famous politicians but I really adore
reading about scientists and their real contributions to make the world a better place. I was
brought up in a family of physicians and surgeons who occasionally tell us how saving a life is
worth exerting all efforts and time. Therefore, my main characters are people like Gallellio,
Edison whose real benefactions saved our lives and helped us to make more discoveries and
inventions because their works were the basics on which modern scientists built upon their
theories and hypotheses
