Project Proposal

The Project Proposal is the initial document used to define an internal or external project. The
proposal includes sections such as title, start and end dates, objectives and goals, requirements,
and a descriptor of the proposed solution. The purpose of a project proposal is to describe
services and outcomes from a potential service provider so decision-makers can compare
vendors and pick the best provider for their needs.

The Different Parts of the Project Proposal

To ensure the uniformity among the proposals being submitted, a project proposal outline is
provided by the NSTP Office. The said outline is composed of different chapters that aim to
thoroughly discuss the class’ proposed project.

The Project Proposal Outline

I. Project Title: The project title should be creative and catchy, without actually
compromising the goals of the activity. Also, the title must at least give the class’
target participants an idea on what the activity is all about.

II. Proponents: Describe who proposes the project (Ex. BSBA201A – NSTP Students /
BSA201D – NSTP Students)

III. Proposed Date and Time: Describe when the project will start and end

IV. Proposed Venue: (Online)

V. Target Participants: Identify who are the participants for this proposed project

VI. Project Description: You may describe the project by answering the following
questions:

• What is the project all about?

• Narrate and describe what the project intends to do and accomplish.
• The history behind the project title
• The gist of the activities

VII. Project Rationale: A Project Rationale is an argument in favor of implementing the

proposed project by your class. It gives the detailed explanation of why the project is
required. Also, explain how realistic and achievable your project is.

VIII. Project Objectives: Identify at least three objectives. The project objective describes
the project outcomes: intended and direct-, short- and long-term effects on the target
participants
NaATIONAL SERVICE 2 • NU LAGUNA 5

IX. Project Activities and Time Table: To accomplish this part, you may also answer
the guide questions below:

• Do the activities complement each other? Are they related?

• Will it be feasible to implement the activities?

X. Project Management: Each student plays a vital role in the success of the proposed
project. Identify each student’s involvement in the preparation, during the project, and
after assessment.

XI. BUDGET PROPOSAL. You should put the different materials that the class needs for
the project. Each group should allocate a specific budget for each material.

XII. Technical Working Committee. You must form a different committee with different
functions in the project.
