A. Review
Identify the kind of text types, tell whether it is Classification, Enumeration, Time
Order, or an Explanation.
1. A non- fiction text which describes why or how things happen.
2. A grouping of people or things in a systematic way. Start with a
main idea, using the rest of the paragraph to explain a series
of secondary ideas.
3. It focuses on listing facts, characteristics or features. Signal
words include to begin with, secondly, then, most important, in
fact, for example, several, numerous, first, next finally, also, for
instance and in addition.
4. It present ideas according to the time which they occurred. The
major supporting details are arranged in sequence order to
when they happened or should happen.

Text Types are forms of writing having a variety of purposes, using different forms
and standards of composition.

Summarizing allows you to verify that you understood accurately the information
conveyed by the writer.
A narrative text is a type of literary text that entertains, informs, or instructs readers
by telling a story.
Fictional narratives include picture books, cartoons, mystery, fantasy, fairy tales,
novels, science fiction, historical fiction, horror or adventure stories, fables,
myths, legends, or plays.
Non- fictional narratives may be a biography, autobiography, articles, newspaper reports,
historical writings, diary.
1.Characters- refers to the people, animals, or creatures that take part in the
action of the story.
2.Setting- is the time and place in which the events happen.
3.Mood- is the general feeling created in the reader upon reading or listening
through word choice and pacing.
4.Theme- is the author’s message or central concept about life or human
nature conveyed through the story. It refers to the lesson or moral of the story.
5.Conflict- refers to the main problem to be solved. It is a struggle involving
two or more opposing forces.
6.Plot- tells the sequence of events from the beginning, middle, and ending.
