Application of diagnosis tester

Fault code reading and erasing
Fault code refers to a trouble code used during the self diagnosis of the vehicle's computer. It is a piece of
information that is stored in the computer to represent a fault found during the performance tests of its parts
performed before its starting and during running.
Fault codes can help rapidly locate the faulty part of the vehicle and carry out the next diagnosis.

(a). Turn the ignition switch “OFF” and connect the diagnosis
Diagnosis function
apparatus to the diagnosis interface.
Read fault code (b). Turn the ignition switch “ON”, open the diagnosis
Clear the fault code apparatus, enter the diagnosis program, and select “Zhengzhou
Read data stream Nissan” and then the diagnosis program of the highest version.
Action test (c). Select “other vehicle types/engine systems”.
Read version information (d). Select“Rich Engine ZD28”, “Load fault codes/Delete fault
codes”.
Tip: It is possible to read fault codes when the engine runs or is
not running; however, it is possible to erase fault codes only
when the engine is not running and the ignition switch is at the

Data stream reading

Through reading the data stream list on the diagnostic tester, it is possible to check the working status of the
switches, sensors, and actuators without the need for removing any part in advance. Before carrying out a fault
diagnosis of the engine's control system, observe and analyze its data stream to effectively shorten the time
required for troubleshooting.
(a). Turn the ignition switch “OFF” and connect the diagnosis
Diagnosis function apparatus to the diagnosis interface.
Read fault code
Select “Rich Engine ZD28”, “Load data flow”.

CAUTION:
The following table gives data under normal conditions. Do not make any judgment that a part is faulty
only according to the reference values. Typically, it is possible to compare the diagnosed vehicle with a
vehicle working normally, so as to determine that the data of the diagnosed vehicle are normal in the
current status.
