Writing Prompt

Choose one of the writing prompts and write a 200-word text on a topic of

your choice:

• If you went 200 years back (1823), how would you explain social media to the

people living in that time?

• What is the most positive change to society that social media is making?

• Is earning a living on social media platforms a realistic option for your

generation? Why?
What is the most positive change to society that social

media is making?

Social media has been used for more than 25 years, and its popularity does

not stop growing as people get more access to technology and electronic

devices like phones and computers, but how much does it affect our lives

positively throughout those 25 years? Did those positive effects change the

society we live in today? These questions will be answered in this text.

Firstly, social media has changed society by making it easier to communicate

and distribute content and messages. Indeed, people can now communicate

with each other through text messages, videos, and many more ways. This

major change has affected restaurants, workplaces, and schools a great

example is that now restaurants can take orders through apps and calls made

by them so that you can get your order faster through delivery and can have

an approximate waiting time for your order.

Secondly, social media helps spread news quickly, major events are now known

around the globe due to the rapidness of sharing. News channels also publish

their videos on social platforms so that they can be shared and transferred to

people very rapidly. This change now aids people who don’t watch the news

frequently.

Finally, social media has made communication and the circulation of media

messages to people “a piece of cake” as well as news and many more.
