Teenage pregnancy is the biggest problem we face in the Philippines nowadays.These

girls are usually coming from lower income households, as statistically adolescents girls
from higher income households are at lower risk for experiencing teenage pregnancy.
A child they had no choice but to carry a term because abortion is still illegal in or
country. The proble of our philippine’s teenage pregnancy issue roots from the lack of
sex education and the age of consent. As a predominantly catholic nation, it is expected
that one saves themselves for marriage.

As I’ve seen in the video, Ignorance, being aggressive and lack of awareness are the
most common reason why many teenagers become pregnant early. I felt different
emotions for the teenage parents and to their children. This documentary open the eyes
of our generation today how hard to become a become a batang ama or ina. Teenage
pregnancy often has negative impact on teens future. If we are going to understand the
video, teen parents are less likely to graduate from highschool and to attend college and
often live in poverty and become burden to their parents. Due to aggressive decisions of
teen parents, their childrens are one who will suffer. Children of teen parents are most
likely to be neglected or abused. One of the visible reasons for the continuing increase
in the number of teenage pregnancies, the existence of multiple, sexual partners, the
non use condoms and the out of school youth of many yourths.
