Week 50

Final presentation will be composed as a new reading of certain bits of

work done during the semester, to be pushed during the Design phase. It
will not be a compilation of what has been done, but the beginning of the
student’s year 4 project and Master’s thesis project.

work done during the semester, to be pushed during the Design phase. It
will not be a compilation of what has been done, but the beginning of the
student’s year 4 project and Master’s thesis project.

It should include:

• A topic and research question

• A prioritized technology of domestic space
• An intuition of the architectural form, spatial configuration or aesthetics
of the new domestic prototype

• A prioritized method of design

• A selected key document

• A new push in the representation of one document, to be exhibited as

an object (representation technique, material technique, spatialization of
the document, etc.). In the representation of the document, the student
should pursue both an ontological and epistemological shift

• Materials supporting the narrative (records, samples, drawings,

sketches, pictures, references, video recordings, and other working
process materials produced, gathered, and developed from the
beginning of the Projective Research Phase until the end of it that are
needed to support the narrative for the Design Phase)

Each student will be allocated a table in Black box for

curating the Atlas of Architectural Artifacts. The physical
atlas will include, at least, the document pushed in
representation. The document will be aware of its
objecthood —spatial, tectonic, and political—, and of the
way it interferes with a human audience —its behavior and
perception of domesticity. As such, the Atlas of Architectural
Artifacts will provide the student with an opportunity to test
certain properties of their upcoming prototype with the
audience.
