Social Distancing Policies Impact

Thesis :

As we know, at the end of 2019 the outbreak of the Corona virus in Indonesia caused the death
rate to increase dramatically until 2021, so the Indonesian government announced several policies
related to this problem, one of which was social distancing.

Arguments :

Social distancing is an act of limiting outdoor activities by working or studying at home. In

essence, reducing direct human interaction definitely has positive and negative impacts.

Through social distancing, the government can reduce the number of people infected with
COVID-19 because people only carry out activities in their homes. In addition, people will also get more
time with their families. The earth will also be free from air pollution, clean waters, and reduced
consumption of fuel oil.

However, this cannot be separated from the negative impact of social distancing. The Ministry
of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia stated that there was a recession or a decline in economic
growth in Indonesia due to work from home and increased spending. And the enactment of a learning
system from home or online class makes it difficult for students to understand learning material.

Reiteration :

Based on these impacts, it can be concluded that the social distancing policy greatly impacts all
aspects of people's lives. And the community is expected to be wise and mature in dealing with these
issues.
