Topic : Flustered In The Real War
Such facing Si-malakama fruit: eaten mom dies, was not eaten dad dies. It is the
frame where our government placed in since Corona virus disease 2019 or commonly
known as Covid-19 is controlling the world now days including Indonesia. How could it
be most affected the government? To overcome the disseminating and spreading of
Covid-19, the government took a decision never done in pandemic cases before that is
to launch group of task force acceleration handling of Covid-19.
Another decision, the government releases government rule (PP) No. 21 2020
about the big scale of social distancing or we call it as PSBB in order to have faster
handling of Covid-19; also rule of health minister (Permenkes) No. 9 2020 about the big
scale of social distancing directive for the same purpose. Now Jakarta is estimated as
the epicenter of Covid-19 distributor and as the first red zone started applying the
government rule in 10 April 2020, while other cities do after.
PSBB is an activity to limit the society’s works outside of their house in case of
decreasing spread of Covid-19. Several activities in public have to be stopped like
schools, offices, even praying places. All events that supposed to bring crowds have
been restricted. Public transportation and online transportation (as ojol) also follow the
instruction of PSBB by bordering their passengers. It is so much hard for them
considering full passengers in the normal days before then they have to take a half only.
Moreover, the online transportation (ojol) is not allowed to take or pick up any one.
They can only receive food or another need orders.
In fact, a great purpose implementing PSBB in Indonesia is not that easy to be
obeyed by the people. The government expected that from PSBB Indonesian can stay at
home mostly and Corona virus will not grow more and stay longer in this country. In
the reality, people still come and go out of their home either for an important business
or an unimportant gathering. The riskiest infraction is people, whom work abroad or in
a big city, bravely going back to their hometown in this unsafe time. They did not
realize how dangerous the decision they take which can bring chances to be affected by
the virus not only for themselves but also their family and people around them.
The more cases of Covid-19 increased is a prove that PSBB does not become a
solution to minimize Covid-19 cases. Finally, the government is on out of mind to think
more what should they do. In other words, the government hands up and just let the
society do whatever and go wherever they want by supplying their own immune or is
named as Herd Immunity. Alive with the virus but still keep clean, healthy, and do the
protocol of Covid-19 (New Normal), because PSBB has been disbanded.
For several days new normal is applied in Indonesia, the case of Covid-19 was
not over yet even be more and more. The government was sat into an upset: if PSBB is
continued, the economic central will be stagnant eventually be worse. In this day, there
more than two million workers are fired (PHK). In contrast, if PSBB is stopped and
changed into “New Normal”, the victims of Covid-19 can not be avoided. In the middle
of this confusion, the government has declared about the implementation of New Nomal
which gives terrible consequences in the end.
New Normal itself, according to spokesman of Covid-19 handling, Achmad
Yurianto, is an order of new habit that is adapted to cultivate clean and healthy life.
There are manners which have to be practiced constantly, those are washing hands on
soap and water flow, wearing face mask when going somewhere, keep physical and
social distancing minimally 1,5 meters, and avoid crowds. In another head, President
Joko Widodo, expects that from New Normal can be productive in working but still safe
from threat of Covid-19. Then the fact is not smoothly happened. New Normal is
abnormal. Most of society feels like back to the real life “not alive with virus”. Market
is full of people whom forget to keep distance or not wearing mask then the sellers are
mostly injured by Covid-19. All is out of rules.
In conclusion, the government ever declared a promise that they will change the
New Normal back to PSBB when the condition is totally nasty. It is what some people
waiting for, since they feel uncomfortable to go some places with this kind of condition.
They hope that governtment is not only over-thinking about the economic problem of
this country but also think more how the societies’ health are; since the safe of society is
the highest law in this republic.
