Directions of questions 1 to 4: The following table is a row wise and column arrangement of
numbers.
Column 1 Column 2 Column 3
Row 1 5 4 -2
Row 2 -3 0 3
Row 3 2 1 3
The game has following rules:
 Your initial value or score is the value of the cell that you start with.
 A higher Row or Column is the one whose numeric value is higher than the
comparator Row or Column. For Example, Row 2 is considered higher than Row 1.
 If you move to a higher row, you add the current score with the value of the new cell,
and if you move to a lower row, you subtract the value of the new cell from the
current score.
 If you move to a higher column, you multiply the current value of the cell to the new
cell, and when you move to a lower column, you divide the current value with the
value of the new cell and take the quotient as the new new value.
 The player can move only one column or one row at a time, and cannot move
diagonally.
Q-1. Player X starts from Column 1 Row 3 and ends up with a negative value in the minimum
possible number of moves. How many moves has X made?
(1) 3 (2) 1 (3) 2 (4) 4
Q-2. Player Y starts with a negative score and within 1 move, becomes positive. He must now be
on the cell?
(1) R1C3 (2) R2C3 (3) R1C2 (4) R1C1
Q-3. Player Z starts from Row 1 Column 1 and within 'x' moves inds the value of his player
becoming in inity? What is the minimum possible value of 'x'?
(1) 4 (2) 3 (3) 5 (4) None of these
Q-4. If a player can start from any cell and has to take maximum number of moves to reach a
negative score without repeating a cell the number of moves he will take to complete the
task will be?
(1) 4 (2) 5 (3) 6 (4) 7
DIRECTIONS for questions 5 to 8: Read the following information and answer the questions
that follow:
In badminton, which team serves irst is decided by a toss of coin. In a game of badminton,
there are two teams I and II with 2 players named A, B and C, D respectively in each team. In
the game, one of the players serves, and a rally begins. If the serving team wins the rally,
they get a point. (A rally is always won by one team and lost by another.) The same player
keeps serving again and again as long as his team keeps winning rallies and earning points.
If the team loses a rally, then the other player of the same team gets the chance to serve. He
again continues to serve as long as his team wins rallies, otherwise the serving option
moves to the other team and starts with one player of the other team getting a chance to
serve. The game continues in this way until one team gets 15 points and wins the match.
Now answer these questions.
Q-5. If A is serving while leading 7/0, (i.e. I has 7 points and II has 0), which of the following is
de initely true?
(1) A has served more number of times than B.
(2) B has served more number of times than A.
(3) A has served more number of times than C.
(4) C has served equal number of times as D.
Q-6. If C is serving while leading 4/3, what is the minimum possible number of times that C has
served before?
(1) 0 (2) 1 (3) 2 (4) 3
Q-7. C is serving leading 4/3 and C has served twice before, what is the minimum number of
serves done by team I?
(1) 4 (2) 5 (3) 6 (4) 7
Q-8. In the question above, what is the maximum number of serves done by team I?

In the table below is the listing of players, seeded from highest (#1) to lowest (#32), who
are due to play in an Association of Tennis Players (ATP) tournament for women. This
tournament has four knockout rounds before the inal, i.e., irst round, second round,
quarter inals, and semi- inals. In the irst round, the highest seeded player plays the lowest
seeded player (seed #32) which is designated match No. 1 of irst round; the 2nd seeded
player plays the 31 seeded player which is designated match No. 2 of the irst round, and so
on. Thus, for instance, match No. 16 of irst round is to be played between 16th seeded
player and the 17th seeded player. In the second round, the winner of match No. 1 of irst
round plays the winner of match No. 16 of irst round and is designated match No. 1 of
second round. Similarly, the winner of match No. 2 of irst round plays the winner of match
No. 15 of irst round, and is designated match No. 2 of second round. Thus, for instance,
match No. 8 of the second round is to be played between the winner of match No. 8 of irst
round and the winner of match No. 9 of irst round. The same pattern is followed for later
rounds as well.

RECTIONS for the questions 13 to 16: Answer the questions on the basis of the information
given below.
The year is 2089. Beijing, London, New York, and Paris are in contention to host the 2096
Olympics. The eventual winner is determined through several rounds of voting by members
of the IOC with each member representing a different city. All the four cities in contention
are also represented in IOC.
 In any round of voting, the city receiving the lowest number of votes in that round
gets eliminated. The survivor after the last round of voting gets to host the event.
 A member is allowed to cast votes for at most two different cities in all rounds of
voting combined. (Hence, a member becomes ineligible to cast a vote in a given
round if both the cities (s)he voted for in earlier rounds are out of contention in that
round of voting.)
 A member is also ineligible to cast a vote in a round if the city (s)he represents is in
contention in that round of voting.
 As long as the member is eligible, she must vote and vote for only one candidate city
in any round of voting.
The following incomplete table shows the information on cities that received the
maximum and minimum votes in different rounds, the number of votes cast in their
favour, and the total votes that were cast in those rounds.

 Those who voted for New York in round 1, voted either for Beijing or Paris in round
2.
 The difference in votes cast for the two contending cities in the last round was 1.
