Module 3 – Coaching Assignment

My vision for the future is to lead with mindfulness and purpose. I will have a career that
fulfills me and aligns with my values. I believe in authentic human connections, sustainability, and
staying true to myself. My values surround these human values and serve as guidance for me to
achieve and understand my vision. Integrity, creativity, stability, and personal development are all
very important in my personal and professional life. When talking with my peer group on
Wednesday I came to understand that we all have different definitions of each our values, we all
have a unique vision, and while it can be challenging to articulate it can be very powerful. I hope
one day I can clearly articulate my vision and create shared visions, MLK was a prime example of
someone who could do this. I think I could find more success and fulfillment in my career if I am
able to share what I believe in with those around me.
This weekend I took a personality test, the Myers Briggs test. It was a series of questions
that determines your unique personality type and then explains the meaning behind it. I have been
on a journey of getting to know myself, my purpose, and why I am who I am. This test taught me
more about myself and my values. I scored as an INFJ-T meaning, I value deep human connections
that push me, I can be turbulent and care about what others think, I tend to lean introverted, and I
am more imaginative and curious. I actually saw a lot of alignment between these results and the
values I have established in this course. I am the type of person who is fueled by deep, reflective
thought and passion. I think this unique personality type, only 1.5% of the population is INFJ-T,
will be good for my goals and vision. It taught me even more about myself while also making
sense of the things I didn’t fully understand about myself. I am really enjoying this journey and I
believe and hope I will grow into the leader I strive to be by the end of this.
