The teacher will ask the students about the learning they gained from the previous
lesson.

The students will watch an inspirational video clip. After which, the teacher will ask if
what they felt after watching the clip.

3. Explore
The teacher together with the students will read a story entitled “The Necklace”
by
Guy de Maupassant. Then, they will answer the given questions below.

1. Discuss the symbolism of the necklace in the story and its significance
to the main character, Mathilde Loisel.
2. Identify instances of foreshadowing in the story. How do these
moments build tension or anticipation for the reader?
3. How techniques and literary devices of fiction use in the story?

4. Explain
The teacher together with the students will discuss the different Techniques and
literary devices of fiction

5. Elaborate
The students will change the tone of description below by making it sound poetic
or dramatic. Students can add symbols in their description.
