1976/77: Studied aviation engineering at Omega college, Athens
1977/78: National service in the Greek Navy.

Work History
Jul 2020 to present: Captain (as team with wife Gail Knight) on Elegance 76, cruising Greece
– Saronic Gulf and Ionian. Currently based in Corfu where the boat is for sale.
2016 to 2020: Owner/manager of Yacht Care, a yacht service company based in Corfu,
Greece and part time captain on M/Y Thirteen, a Ferretti Custom Line 97
Nov 2013 to Nov 2016: Captain on Dominator 68 ‘Akira’ for a private owner based in Greece.
I left this position due to the boat being sold.
Apr 2011 to Oct 2013: Captain on Ferretti 80, based in Corfu, Greece for private /charter
owner.
Jun 2010 to end Aug 2010: Captain on the same owners new boat, a Sunseeker Predator 95,
cruising the Mediterranean including Corsica, Sardinia and Croatia. During the preceding
winter, I made several trips to Poole to check details before picking up the boat in Genoa.
Dec 2003 – Jun 2010: Captain on Sunseeker Predator 63 “Lauren II’. Firstly I delivered the
boat from Mallorca and then cruising the Mediterranean.
May 2003-Sep 2003: Working as captain on ‘Lady G’, an 83ft Ferretti Motoryacht on charter,
cruising around the balearic islands, Sardinia & Corsica. The boat then went to the Caribbean
for the winter season.
2000 Oct-2003 May: Captain of S/Y Indigo II, a 72ft catamaran owned by the US president of
Camper & Nicholson. We were based in the South of France and Monaco and sailed all over the
Med. I left due to the birth of our baby. My wife was cook on board.
1999 April-2000 Sep: Captain on ‘Maryl’, a Canados 80ft M/Y. Spent this time cruising in
Greece, Italy and Turkey.
1998 Oct-1999 April: Joined a transatlantic delivery crew and spent this time in the
Caribbean. I carried out several deliveries around the islands, including Guadeloupe, St Barts,
Tortola, St Lucia. I then worked for 4 months as skipper on a 65ft aluminium Petterson S/Y. I
then worked for 6 months on 130” Oceanco “Caprice” as first mate.
1998 April-Oct: Captain on ‘Toro del Mar” a Jongert 20M based in Puerto Andraitx, Mallorca
and technical advisor to a small German yacht service company.
1995 – 1998: Travelled with my fiancée, firstly working in Gran Canaria as a maintenance and
rigging specialist and doing various deliveries around the Canaries. I worked on many
superyachts and maxi racers as first mate and carried out several Atlantic crossings.
1988-1995: Went into partnership with a friend in ‘Just Boats’ Yachting Agency. The agency
handled a vast spectrum of yacht related services, such as charter, management, sales,
repairs, maintenance. I handled the technical department, overseeing the repairs and
maintenance side of the business. I also skippered many boats charter and private and carried
out deliveries all over the Meditteranean during this period.
Additional Information

I have a lifelong love of the sea having sailed since I was very young and been Champion of
Greece in 420’s in 70's. I have a great deal of experience in the maintenance and repair of
yachts and can work in a ‘hands on’ way. My hobbies include mountain trekking, martial arts,
kick boxing and chess.

I speak English and Greek fluently and conversational Italian and Spanish.
