    Application for MEXT-supported special PhD course:

    “Training Program for Dental Leaders in Hyper-Aged Society”


    Call for MEXT scholarship candidates recommended by
    the Dean of the partner schools.
    Candidates must start the program on October 1st ,
    2024 when selected.

    Requirements for candidates:


    - Duration of the education program at home dental school should be at least 5 years
    - Outstanding academic records in undergraduate/MSc
    - Language Proficiency (English or Japanese) Program Duration: 4 years
    Admission: 1st OCT 2024
    Graduation: 30th SEP 2028
    Requirements for a candidate with MEXT scholarship
    - younger than 35 years old as of April 1st , 2024
    - Outstanding academic records -> JASSO GPA is higher than 2.3 out of 3.0
    - Language Proficiency -> English: CEFR B2 level or Japanese: JLPT N2 level or equivalent
    Application and selection procedures: DUE DATE is 15th DECEMBER, 2023
    1. Designated application forms and CV should be submitted before the deadline.
    2. First selection by the Niigata University School of Dentistry admission committee
    (Academic affairs and International Relations) will be carried out.
    3. Selected candidates will undertake online interview by the admission committee and
    desired Ph.D. program supervisors as part of the entrance examination.
    4. Authorized applicants will be requested to prepare the MEXT scholarship application.
