Well establish in a classroom, students are actively involved in their learning; they are able
to judge the success of their output and to take responsibility for their own progress.
Formative assessment is time consuming. They take to much instructional time decreases
potential learning. The fact is formative assessment doesn’t need take much time at all.
It improves their performance, strengthen motivation and self-regulation, it improves also
their feedback literacy, reflection and life-long knowledge.
They need to remember the important aspect of assessment, it is the ability to ask question.
They need to develop their ability to ask questions that is relevant to the topic.
Reflect
In their formative assessment, they involve setting their goals if what are they need to learn. We all know that
if you set a goal into your plan it will become success so that it is need to set a goal in doing an assessment.
Maybe the students did not do it seriously. They have no goal if what they need to learn and
they do not construct a question so that their knowledge will improve.
If they are doing self-assessment they will discover their strength and weaknesses about the lesson.
If they will discover it they already know if what are they need to improve about their knowledge.
They are doing formative assessment but they are not trying to apply it. There are some students
that they are doing assessment to their self and after the result they are not trying to apply it.
Act
And collecting information while learning is happening, formative assessments help teachers see
where students are in the learning process, quickly identify if students are struggling with a
particular subject and adjust their teaching approaches to help students stay on track.
