ASSESSMENT

Adamson University has some various challenges when it comes to its overall campus
environment. First is the recreational space enhancement. Adamson University recognizes
the importance of recreational spaces in promoting a holistic campus experience. By
designating specific areas for leisure and community activities, the university not only caters
to the physical well-being of its students but also fosters a sense of community and social
interaction. These spaces may include parks, outdoor seating areas, and facilities for sports
and cultural events, enriching the overall student experience.

Second, is the green spaces for environmental quality. Addressing the foul smell from the
estuary involves more than just masking odors. Adamson University is actively incorporating
green spaces that serve as natural buffers against undesirable scents. Through strategic tree
planting and landscaping, the university not only enhances the aesthetics of the campus but
also contributes to environmental sustainability. This initiative aligns with broader efforts to
create a healthier and more ecologically balanced campus environment.

Third is balancing hardscapes and greenery. The university's commitment to a balanced

environment is evident in its approach to hardscape. By integrating a mix of pavements and
greenery, Adamson is creating a visually appealing and sustainable landscape. Green spaces
offer not only aesthetic beauty but also environmental benefits, such as improved air quality
and temperature regulation. This balanced approach reflects a commitment to a campus that
is both functional and ecologically responsible.

And lastly, is to enhance connectivity and walkability. Simplifying paths and connections
within the campus speaks to the university's dedication to creating a user-friendly environment.
By replacing complicated routes with convenient walkways, Adamson University is not only
improving accessibility but also fostering a sense of community. Easy navigation enhances
the overall efficiency of movement within the campus, facilitating seamless interactions and
promoting a cohesive campus experience.

In summary, Adamson University's urban planning aim not only to address immediate
challenges but also to create a campus environment that prioritizes the well-being of its
community, embraces sustainability, and promotes a sense of unity and inclusivity among
students, faculty, and staff.
