Question 1: Tell us about yourself.

Answer: My name is Deepankar mohan vashishta and I’m 23 years old . I have just given my final
year BTech exam and I have done my bachelor's in information and technology in which I
developed an interest in cybersecurity in which I work on Kali Linux and while working on this I
realized that there is a lot of data which is being generated by the people who are using social
media or any other platform which they are not realizing but this data can help the companies to
grow there business so from there I decided that I should further pursue PGDM in BDAto learn
how to manage business and data which will upgrade my skill set a lot. In the past after doing 10
I did diploma in mechanical engineering which I opt because my father forced me it was not of
my intereste but I pursued it while pursuing Diploma I did learn a lot of things in the production
sector and also while doing a diploma I did the German language which upgraded my 1 more
language after doing diploma I also helped my father business where I learn a lot about the business
marketing, sales, etc but after working on the lower level I developed a keen interest in business
so that’s why I’m pursuing PGDM to maintain the balance of business and data. I have a Keen
interest in playing guitar and listening to music I like to listen to all kinds of genres and I also like
to do cycling a lot my highest is 100km which I did in 2020, sometimes I also like to read novels.

Question 2: What do you like to do outside of work?

Answer: When I’m doing my work I enjoy it a lot because it helps to build my skill and
communication skills but while doing work I get a lot of ideas to do after work like going to any
place and listening to some live music or having some drink or go play any sport or gym but in the
end, after a tired day I go to place where I can get my mental peace and some energy so what I like
to do is do some walk or cycling as an exercise and while doing that I love to listen to music which
gives me motivation and after doing that I like to spend some time with my family and friend and
even go on a family date or just go for a walk with my family to eat ice cream and after all that if
I’m left with some energy I love to read the book or watch series before going to bed.

Question 3: What is your most proud accomplishment to date?

Answer: My most proud accomplishment is getting admission to one of the top B Schools after
doing all the hard work and managing engineering and cat side by side when I got the admission I
felt very happy and proud of myself and even my feel proud of me that their son is in one of the
top B School doing masters from Fore school of management learning new skills and growing day
by day by learning new things daily and grooming myself daily and meeting new people
communicating with them which also helps to improve communication skills.

2
Question 4: What makes you stand out from other applicants?

Answer: My motivation to do well in work. I’m very much committed to my work while doing
work you have to be honest towards your work if you can’t stay honest with your work you can’t
grow then and that’s what makes me stand apart from other applicants is I stay motivated to my
work because if you’re not motivated to your work you can’t work with the good mindset and you
will not put your pure effort in that work and if you won’t pure effort you will lack honesty so
basically honesty and motivation to work make me stand apart from other applicants.

Question 5: What motivates you to put in your best effort?

Answer: The one thing that motivates me to put in my best effort is to learn new skills and grow
because whenever you do anything in your life maybe in college or the workplace you either fail
or get successful at that thing but you can learn from both success or failure which will help you
to grow. So basically when I was doing my bachelor I was constantly failing at Cybersecurity and
also there is no one to guide me in that but everyone time I fail I learned a new thing and developed
a new skill which made me better at that skill and that crave of learning new skill kept me motivated
and failure kept me teaching new skills so the craving of learning new skills made me better in
learning and growing and these two aspects always kept me motivated.

Question 6: How do you deal with criticism?

Answer: your ego but criticism gives you a reality check where I need to fill the void of my skills,
where I’m lacking and where I’m failing at my work or what’s the skills that I need to develop so
that next time I don’t face any issue. So instead of taking it as negative or affecting my work, I
look into that criticism and work on that because instead of taking it on heart I work on that growth
in that area. I still remember that when I was in my school I was never punctual and my teacher
criticize me on this every day but I never took it seriously one day due to not being punctual I
missed my exam so I realize that criticism was for my good only and from that day I decided I
have to punctual and I never get late from that and that criticism made me punctual man.

Question 7: How do you respond to change?

Answer: Changes are the constant thing in life when you’re in school you have a different mindset
but when you step into college life you get mature and feel some changes in your nature and your
body and after college when you enter corporate life you get more changes in life where people
would be more mature, gentlemen and will be more work-oriented. In every aspect of your life
there be a lot of changes but how you respond to them matters a lot. I always take it in a positive
way because changes always upgrade me, give me a better reality of the world, and help me to get
a better version of myself. Recently I shifted the home where I was living for the past 20 years and

3
shifting from that home to a different one was the biggest challenge for my family living all the
memories of that home, sweet neighbors, and all childhood friends but we have to get shifted
because of our need of a bigger home and better place and this was the biggest change in my life
but I have to accept that fact and need to move on interact with the person who’s my new neighbors
and enjoy this new home and grow and it’s been 3 years now I love this new home.

Question 8: What are your greatest strengths?

Answer: My Greatest strength is that I keep myself motivated and always eager to learn new
skills, always ready to take challenges and take risky decisions. When I was doing cybersecurity
in my bachelor's I was constantly failing and I don’t know even anything about it but I still keep
reading and digging about it and working on it. So that’s my greatest strength that even after failing
I keep constantly trying and working on it and take the challenges.

Question 9: What are your greatest weaknesses?

Answer: One of my greatest weaknesses is taking things on my ego because taking things on my
ego will let me drop my mental peace and doing things on my ego will even give you the same
result instead of taking a sensible decision. When I was preparing for the CAT I was a lot of
problems in quant and was not able to some maths problems so instead of understanding that
problem and looking for the right approach, I took that on ego and did the question in the way
which doesn’t gave me a good result but few weeks before my cat exam my teacher advice me
instead of taking question on ego try to solve with cool mind and see the result and that approach
me a lot to solve the problem.

Question 10: What are your short-term and long-term goals?

Answer My short-term goals and long-term goals are a bit different because in short-term goals I
do 3 to 4 years of planning. I’m 23 and within 4 years I will be 27 so by that age I need to have a
good consultant job in a top firm, have my own car, good saving, investing money in the right
place and most important helping my parents in financial and making them proud of myself.

My long term would be to start my own business or join my father's business make that business
grow and earn a good amount of money, buy my own house and live a life in good mental peace,
and give my best every day.

Question 11: Tell us something that’s not mentioned in your resume.

Answer: The one thing that is not mentioned in my resume is that I have worked with my father
at this two-wheeler showroom startup for 1 year where I managed all work of the showroom the

4
work can be off as a salesman or managing the workers or handling the customer's problem after
doing diploma I joined this business to learn some business how it is operated and how the profits
are how customer handling is done maybe this business at that time 2019 not such big but small
business helps me to learn a lot about the people requirement and what’s the basic price they can
afford, what kind of people are buying Two wheeler and what’s the target audience in this business
no matter what kind of business you do target audience matter a lot.So this is the thing that I have
not mentioned.

Question 12: Why did you decide to pursue an MBA?

Answer: While doing my Bachelor I was working on cybersecurity, while doing that I get to
know that there is a lot of data which is being created by the user which can be useful to companies
to understand the people's requirements, what updates they want in the product and what kind of
problems they’re facing, so by using the Big Data I want to help the companies to solve there client
business problem and provide them consultancy, So by doing MBA in Big Data Analytics I want
to work on both the data and business problem and give them a good solution

Question 13: Rate yourself on a scale of 1-10 as a team player. Justify.

Answer: I would like to rate myself as 8, as I would say I’m not the best but I always give my
best in the group, last in BTech Third year my proctor allotted me a group with the batchmates
with whom I never interacted after getting into that group first I feel very anxious how I will be
able to make up with that group and how would be able to coordinate with them and play as a team
player and I think a lot about and at that time I just started preparing for the CAT when I doing
some research I get to know that playing as a team player is a most important thing at your
workplace so if I wouldn’t be able to do it here then how would be I able to do it at the companies
so that’s where I decided that I need to remove fear and start coordinating with the group student
to boost my confidence and then at the end after completing the whole project we became good
friends I became a good team player and my confidence level also got boosted.

Question 14: Tell us about a time when you displayed leadership skills.

Answer: In my BTech final year I was made the group leader of the major project and at that time
there was a lot of pressure on me because at that time I was preparing for the MBA college
interviews and there was also a pressure of managing the group deciding the project and giving
the project work to the batchmates accordingly and also one of our batchmates got admitted in the
hospital due to kidney issues so the work which going to be divided between the 4 now got to be
done by the 3 student and all 3 of us have professional work to do like I was also doing internship

5
and preparing for the MBA college interview and other 2 were also doing there internship so
managing the project was a big deal and with one friend in hospital so after analyzing the situation
and after deciding the project I distributed the project work to the batchmate accordingly two of
my batchmates were good at coding part so I gave them the coding for building the website and I
decided to do the presentation work and working on the file collecting the resources and giving
regular updates to our project coordinater and while working on the project we all faced a lot of
problems dealing things at the workplace and also managing the project but after all the problems
we were able to create a good project and our work also got appreciated but the main thing was to
manage the project distribution and also managing the group and being answerable to project
coordinater but in the end it all went well.

Question 15: Tell us about a time you managed a conflict.

Answer: When I was doing my internship, my manager wasn’t allowing me to take leaves for
my college work but my HR told me that I can take leave whenever I want for college work before
joining they told me this but after joining my manager doesn’t allow to me to take me to leave
which would in the long run will disturbed my college major project and internals I’m also scared
that they might take my internship but also I can’t ruin my internals and major project also so after
getting the courage I decided to talk to my HR and tell her that’s what my manager is doing which
would be a better decision for my professional and college life and when I told my manager she
helped me a lot in this and even talk to my manager.

Question 16: Describe your most challenging project or a pressure situation. How did you
manage it?

Answer: My most pressure situation is giving a CAT exam like. I almost got scared and started
feeling anxious but getting scared or feeling anxious won’t make my result better it will even make
it worse then I decided to take a good nap and took a deep breath before taking a nap I gave myself
the satisfaction that I have given my best in my preparation and if I have given I best in my CAT
preparation I will get a good result so I just prayed to god and came to the center and gave my
exam. I have to listen this many times that the result is not in our hands but doing hard work is and
that’s what I did, I did hard work and I will get good result so I stop thinking about the exam and
result I just started believing in god and relaxed because sometimes being anxious or scared in a
situation will make it even worse so it’s better to chill and relax and do the hard work.

Question 17: Tell us about a time you faced an ethical or moral dilemma and how you
handled the situation?

6
Answer: When I was doing my internship my HR got to know about the I got selected for the
fore school of management and that I will not convert my internship into a job so instead of let
continuing she discontinued my internship and gave me the baseless reason for discontinuing my
internship and I was helpless at time and no one in the office didn’t help so I was left with no way
and left the office because there is a big picture waiting for me.

Question 18: Tell us about a time you failed or made a mistake and how did you overcome
it?

Answer: In 2019 after completing the A1 level of German language I decided to go for the A2
level but A2 was way more difficult and I took it very lightly and didn’t focus that much instead
of studying I started going out with friends and doing parties and the end result was that I got failed
and it was very depressing and disturbing but then I decide that rather than being sad I should
maintain a balance with study life and friend circle and then again I started preparing for it but I
was not able to give exam due to covid but that’s how I overcome.

Question 19: How do you balance work and personal life?

Answer: I would say both are important in balancing the work life and personal life I maintain
the balance that after work I have enough hours to talk to my family and friends and do regular
exercise and the same at the workplace doing the work before the deadline being punctual to the
office hours and maintain good relationship with colleagues. So I think you don’t need to be one-
sided you just need to maintain balance because if you maintain the balance you can give time to
both personal and professional life.

Question 20: If you were an animal, which one would you be?

Answer: I would be a dolphin because I love communicating with others and working as a
team.Dolphins are extremely intelligent animals, and they play well with others. A dolphin is
also a popular answer to this question, and it works especially well when interviewing for a
position that will require a lot of teamwork. It may not be the best answer if you’re applying for a
leadership role.

Question 21: Is there a gap in your resume? If yes, why?

Answer Yes, there is a gap in my resume because after doing my diploma in 2019 I took a year
break to join my father's business and learn the ethics of business and get more knowledge of
business. So I joined my father's new business which was two wheeler showroom where I worked

7
in each and every aspect of it and learn some business I may say I didn’t become a pro at it but I
learned some basics.

Question 22: Why should we hire you?

Question 23:

Situation: As COVID-19 pandemic has ended, your company has implemented a hybrid
work model, allowing employees to choose between working from home and working from
the office. This has created a situation where some team members prefer to work remotely,
while others prefer to work in the office. As a team leader, you are faced with the challenge
of ensuring effective collaboration, communication, and maintaining team cohesion despite
the diverse work arrangements.

Based on the above situation, as a team lead what will be your approach?

Answer: As a team leader my approach will be listening to the team members problems and after
analyzing their problem I would like to a way in which both the people are comfortable as there
are some people who may be in there home town and the situation is not that their place so they
can’t office or the different city and some people who live nearby in the city want to work in the
office because they need a office environment so in this situation I would prefer that some people
come in office and some do from there respective place but to make this more workable I would
prefer take morning and evening meetings and even do assign a person a task who can check that
there is communication between the team mates or not and effective collaboration between the
team is there or not so I think this would be the better decision to make my team more manageable.
