Organization’s mission and vision:
PPWCA empowers and strengthens women and youth at community and policy levels to build coalitions and networks,
and jointly promote and advocate for human rights, peace, and good governance. PPWCA focuses on the following
strategic areas:
Peace and Security: To encourage and influence the people of Paktia province , man and women alike, to participate
and engage in peace building and conflict prevention, mediation, and resolution.
Human Rights: Peace and good governance are critical to ensuring respect for human rights. PPWCA takes a rights-
based approach to development, implementing programming that aims to empower all people of Paktia province to
know and exercise their rights as citizens regardless of age, ethnicity gender, or other factors.
Training and Capacity building: PPWCA focuses on training and capacity building as a means of empowering women and
youth to take an active role as agents of change in their communities. PPWCA develops and implements capacity
building trainings on issues such as peace, human rights, gender in provincial level. These activities empower women
and youth to identify issues and challenges affecting their lives and communities build alliances with other groups, and
address the issues themselves or advocate for solutions.
Advocacy and Awareness: Public support is necessary to advocate for change. In order to have public support, it is
necessary to raise awareness about the issues, challenges, and opportunities and mobilize people for demanding
change. PPWCA carries out advocacy activities at provincial and districts level.
Monthly meetings: PPWCA will conduct some monthly meetings with their PWN networks, with share their ideas
regarding women’s issues and will work on how to solve their problems.
