P>DIET: Regular Diet, Increase oral fluid intake


LABS: None

MEDS:
1. DIPHENHYDRAMINE 1-2mg/kg/DOSE or 5mg/kg/DAY TID (CI: ASTHMA, <2 yrs old)
Diphenhydramine 12.5mg/5ml syrup, give ?ml 3 times a day or every 8 hours for
Diphenhydramine 50mg/capsule, take 1 capsule 3 times a day or every 8 hours
Diphenhydramine 50mg/capsule, take 1 capsule 30 minutes before bedtime as needed
for insomnia
2. HYDROXYZINE 1-2mg/kg/DAY
Hydroxyzine syrup 2mg/ml, give ?ml 3 times a day or every 8 hours (1-6 yrs old)
Hydroxyzine 25mg/tablet, take 1 tablet 3 times a day or every 8 hours (ADULT)

3. CETIRIZINE 0.25mg/kg/DOSE
Cetirizine drops 2.5mg/ml, give 1ml once a day (6 months to 1 yrs old)
Cetirizine drops 2.5mg/ml, give 1ml twice a day (1 to 2 yrs old)
Cetirizine syrup 5mg/5ml, give 5ml once a day (2-5 yrs old)
Cetirizine syrup 5mg/5ml, give 10ml once a day (>6 yrs old)
Cetirizine 10mg/tablet, take 1 tablet once a day (>12 yrs old)

2. Olopatadine eye drops 0.1% solution, 1 drop to affected eye(s) twice a day, 6 to
8 hours apart
Olopatadine eye drops 0.2% solution, 1 drop to affected eye(s) once a day

3. Optional: Eye lubricants


Tears Naturale II, 1 to 2 drops as needed for dry eyes
PEG 400 + Propylene glycol eye drops (Systane Ultra), 1-2 drops in the affected
eye(s) as needed

ADVISE: Lid hygiene, Cold compress, avoid scratching of eyes. avoid contact lens
use, avoid allergens/triggers
FOLLOW UP: as needed
