The origin of species

Valentina Ramírez Vergara

INTRODUCCION

In the 1850s, Darwin wrote a controversial and landmark book called On the Origin of Species. In
it, perhaps that species evolve (or, as he put it, have "offspring with modifications") and that all
living things can trace their ancestry back to a common ancestor. Darwin also suggested a
mechanism for evolution: natural selection, in which heritable traits that help an organism survive
and reproduce become more common in a population over time.

Development

- The first point of this text is that through the theory of common origin, Darwin was able to
harmoniously integrate evidence from fields as disparate as biography, paleontology, etc.
Darwin offered a systematic demonstration of transformism, opposing the cynicism that
was the prevailing idea at the time.

- In the second point, Darwin admits a very wide range of causes of variability, among
which life conditions stand out as certain environmental peculiarities that occur in many
generations.

- In the third point, there is a probability that in turn has causes such as the variability index
of a species is heritable, this depends on the number of individuals that are affected by the
force of selection, the time in turn already mentioned above is key so that increase the
tendency to appear variations and environmental changes.

- In the fourth point at the center of all his work on natural selection, he advocates survival
or the possibility of having greater dependence on the strongest, he refers to the most
adapted according to the conditions of the environment and the moment. In the fifth
point, being corroborates gradualism and not only in biological matter.
In the sixth point, it is verified experimentally that the groups with more genera, that is to say, the
most variable ones, accumulate more species and subspecies.

This graph explains how or what I want to understand is the evolution of progress and
understanding of Charles Darwin

 The point number is about the way in which the species are emerging in which the species
are evolving
 The point number two causas de variabilidad, entre las que destacan las condiciones de
vida como ciertas peculiaridades ambientales que se dan en muchas generaciones. and in
the graph it shows us how certain species are decreasing over time.
 In the third point, the species is radically decreasing, and how this has collateral damage,
since the end of the 20th century
 In the fourth point, we analyze how the scale of the number of species went too low.
Conclusión

In this work by Charles Darwin, he presented his theory of evolution through natural selection,
which despite the years continues to be the basis of the study of nature for current biology and its
influence was noted not only in the scientific community but also in All society.

that it is essential to care for and preserve the variety of species that exist on the planet, and it is
important to have a guide about what is in our country as fauna, species and their evolution, and
that it is not correct to evolve scientifically with the fishes, let its process and evolution be
completely natural and natural.
