Dear Hiring Manager

I am writing this email regarding the sales assistant job position which was listed on the”
Indeed” website job search board on 21 March 2021. When I was searching the internet for this
vacancy as a part-time job, your job advertisement attracted my attention the most. I believe that
my work experience in the retail industry can help to increase sales at your store.

During my two month work experience, I could learn how to communicate with customers more
effectively and see insights of this position. My responsibilities included consulting clients about
brand and putting clothes in the right places, upgrading my communication skills and learning
how to work in a team. After this job, I can easily interact with different people and find a
personal approach to everyone. Furthermore, I did group presentations at university which
helped me to learn how to find compromises in a group, improve team-work skills and
collaborate well with other people. While taking part in various social events, I developed
interpersonal skills, such as confidence in communication, punctuality, responsibility and
respecting different opinions.

Glue store provides a positive working atmosphere for getting unique experience that can be
applied in my future career. My CV is attached, and I hope we will communicate face to face in
an interview. You can approach me by phone number +998993733486 or email
klowry@gmail.com Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely,

Kyle Lowry

Reflection analysis

The academic year has already come to the finishing line. During these months, I explored
myself and found that I have various interests. It turned out that my favorite ones are playing
basketball and studying geology, as the first one helps me to distract and be connected to people
while the second is related to my future career in the mining industry and gives me the feeling
of independence. I identified my strong sides: punctuality, single-mindedness, ability to work
under pressure, good memory and politeness. However, I have difficulties with public speaking,
communication with strangers, concentration, and motivation. In the future, I need to work on
my concentration firstly, because it is crucial to focus on tasks and need to develop confidence to
speak in front of a public. Furthermore, I need to find a career which suits my interests and gives
me the motivation to work on my weaknesses. I think that I have ability to work on weak sides ,
because as I mentioned before I am a single-minded person who can develop skills which are
needed for success

While studying at university, I could identify skills which I need to improve for the successful
learning process. I could improve two hard skills: academic writing and Microsoft office
programs proficiency. Many assignments required writing in academic style and using Word
programs. Going through the long hours of practice and making mistakes, I was able to achieve
a good level of using functions in Microsoft Word and creating professional presentations via
PowerPoint. Regarding writing, I increased my vocabulary with new academic words and
developed strong researching skills. In addition, I could upgrade several soft skills. DPI
module`s group course work helped me to develop negotiation skills, as we were required to
work in a team, and gain some experience in communication with different people. Also, I
improved time-management skills and can organize my time better in future projects. For
professional development, I am going to improve my soft skills such as communication and
team-work. In addition, I want to further improve my Microsoft office skills, particularly ability
to make good presentations. My future job will require education in this sphere, so I am going to
get a degree and practical knowledge on a BA course at WIUT, obtain leadership and
organizational skills through the work experience and internships.

At the beginning, the interviewer explained the purpose of the interview and presented himself.
Then, the question stage began. Interview questions covered topics such as reasons for choosing
the company, soft skills candidate has, how ex-colleagues would describe him and ideal working
environment. The aim for choosing these questions was to determine whether a candidate is
motivated to work in a company and working conditions are suited to him, also what values and
interpersonal skills he has. Questions about skills and working environment were relevant to
job requirements and responsibilities. First two provided the general presentation of
interviewee`s personality, as the position requires strong interpersonal skills and question about
conditions could give the impression about performance of job responsibilities. Answers of
interviewee were related to the discussion, however were short and not informative. For
instance, he could not answer two questions. In the closing stage, the question about promotion
was asked and then both interviewee and interviewer thanked each other. My role required me to
ask questions. I prepared questions beforehand and at the beginning explained the aim of the
interview. Furthermore, I supported the interviewee and tried to maintain a relaxed atmosphere.
Overall, the atmosphere was positive and body language was often used , but the interviewee
was not professional.I need to prepare more relevant questions and improve presentation of
myself.
