Description Embarked on an enthralling journey through the NTSE Question Creation activity,
of the tailored for 10th-grade students in India. In teams of two, we found ourselves
activity delving into the intricate art of crafting questions, reminiscent of those encountered
in the National Talent Search Examination. Critical thinking and subject expertise
became our focus as we immersed ourselves in our chosen subjects, sparking
creativity, teamwork, and analytical skills. This hands-on experience promised not
only insights into the complexity of NTSE questions but also a profound appreciation
for collaborative problem-solving.

Outcome As a result of engaging in the NTSE Question Creation activity, my teammate and I
delved into a deeper understanding of our chosen subjects. The process of crafting
intricate questions not only sharpened our critical thinking skills but also emphasized
the importance of effective teamwork and analytical reasoning. This collaborative
effort provided us with a unique perspective on the intricate challenges found in the
National Talent Search Examination. Beyond academic insights, the experience
fostered a sense of camaraderie between my teammate and me as we navigated the
intellectual terrain of the competition together. Overall, this experience has not only
expanded my academic horizons but has also equipped me with invaluable skills
crucial for future academic and professional endeavours.

Description Conducting a Swachh Bharat awareness activity at a government school in Hoskote,
of the activity Bengaluru Rural, I along with my classmates cleaned the school's roof and planted
saplings. This hands-on initiative aimed to instil a sense of cleanliness and
environmental consciousness among the students. Cleaning the rooftop symbolized
our commitment to the Swachh Bharat mission, while planting saplings contributed
to the school's green cover, fostering a sustainable mindset. The activity sought to

surroundings.

Description of Engaging in a community-driven activity in Hoskote, we embarked on a mission to
the activity raise awareness about the Jan Aushadhi scheme initiated by the government.
Under this scheme, women can access affordable sanitary pads priced at just 1
rupee each, addressing a crucial aspect of menstrual hygiene. Additionally, the
scheme extends its benefits to the wider community by providing low-cost
medicines to those in need. As we walked around, disseminating information
about this initiative, our aim was not only to promote health and well-being but
also to empower individuals with the knowledge of accessible and affordable
healthcare options available to them.

here, although the industrialization in the recent times in Hoskote and places around

Description Engaging in a community-driven activity in Hoskote, we embarked on a mission to
of the raise awareness about the Khazimakan government school. We went on a radius of
activity upto 5 km’s and told the underprivileged that such a school exists and that free
education will be provided. We also spread true information that cycles will be given
to the students for free upto the 8th standard. This influenced many people to send

Description The Fist Full event showcased students’ generosity with donations of 5 Kgs of rice and
of the 2 kgs of toor dal per person, collecting 1640kg of rice and 600kg of dal for Sai Gurukul
activity School in Tigalarpalya, Bengaluru, the event was a great success. The school offers free
education, foods, and essentials to underprivileged children up to class X. Recognised
by the State Board of Karnataka, this initiative ensures a brighter future for children
deprived of quality education and basic amenities.

VTU Guidelines:
Activity Points for Award of Degree

Preamble:

Apart from technical knowledge and skills, to be successful as professional, students should have excellent
soft skills, leadership qualities and team spirit. They should have entrepreneurial capabilities and societal
commitment. In order to match these multifarious requirements, AICTE has created a unique mechanism
of awarding Activity points over and above the academic grades.

● The Activity Points earned shall be reflected on the students eighth semester Grade card (duration
of the programme), anytime during the semester weekends and holidays, as per the interest and
convenience of the student from the year of entry to the programme. However, minimum hours
specified must be satisfied.
● Activity Points (non-credit) have no effect on SGPA/CGPA and shall not be considered for vertical
progression.
● In case students fail to earn the prescribed activity points, eighth semester Grade Card shall be
issued only after earning the required activity points. Students shall be admitted for the award of
degree only after the release of the Eighth semester Grade card.
● The consolidated report of activity points earned by the students will be sent to the University. A
notification in this respect will be issued by Registrar (Evaluation), VTU, Belagavi.

RV college of Engineering® Bengaluru

As per AICTE, Engineering students have to work (social service work) for 400 hours to earn 100
Activity point to get degree. We at RV college of engineering make our students to work for community
service, village development, teaching government school students, working for betterment of
environment, plantation of saplings, rejuvenation of lakes etc.
Final year students have to complete the work towards earning AICTE Activity points in 7 th semester
so that they can do internship/project in 8th semester.
In this regard students were assigned various work by RVCE, NSS team, NCC, Rotaract club. Students
also participated in events related to social service work during 8th Mile at RVCE. Students participated
in social service work through NGOs, Namely Dheerya foundation, MAD (Make A difference).
Certificates/ Proofs(list signed by club head, faculty coordinator and DSA) for all activities carried out
under NCC, NSS, , Rotaract club and other clubs are available with heads of the respective clubs along
with points.
Dheerya foundation, MAD (Make A difference) have given certificates to students.
Students have also taken Energy Literacy (online module)
Few students have taken YES+ program and did awareness, cleaning activities during this program,
hence 25 actvity points may be awarded if they submit signed (faculty coordinator Dr. Badrinath and
Ms. Sindhu R) copy and detailed event report.
Students are required to submit a copy of certificate/proof along with detailed report of the event.
With respect to STEM education
Students need to submit (i)detailed report with photos(for each day experiments), (ii) An video of the
experiments in Kannada.
If students have gone to school through RVCE contacts, Lead volunteers are required to meet and get
the list verified by Faculty counselor and DSA and submit signed copy as a proof.
If students have gone to school through Agastya OR YFS NGO, students need to submit certificates.
AICTE Activity points: Detailed Report + Video for 12 experiments+ taking 5 sessions in school
=50Points.
AICTE Activity points: Detailed Report + Video for all experiments+ taking 7 sessions in school =
70Points (Through YFS NGO)

Report with respect to School activity should contain the following:
