1. Description of Works
Describe the works covered by this Method Statement. Include or attach sketches, maps, drawings if applicable.
This method statement describes the procedure for mobilization of contractor’s site office/ portacabin,
workshop, storage area setup at site location as per the attached plot allocation – Reference (R12-012000-
TRS-PLN-PM-0207), including loading, offloading the portacabins, lifting operation, Erection of cabins, MEP
works, generator installation and power supply.
The methodology for the mobilization of contractor site office/ portacabin is described below.
3. Responsibility
Project Manager:
To ensure that all the preparation and application works are carried out according to the contract
specification and the approved drawings and method statement and risk assessment and rsg
applicable procedures and instructions.
To ensure that all the equipment and material required to execute the work are available according
to the planned program.
To coordinate with logistics coordinator, construction manager, site engineer and safety officer, for a
safe and proper execution of the works.

Construction Manager:
Overseeing the logistical requirements of a project.
Delegating work to colleagues within team.
Meeting regularly with clients, third parties and other managers to report on progress.
Setting targets, objectives and responsibilities for all supervised staff.
Regularly reviewing timings, budget, labor, risk and project plans to ensure work stays on track.
Setting and agreeing budgets.
Conducting site visits to inspect work, check materials and ensure staff are following health and
safety guidelines.
Dealing with contracts and mitigating the impact of any issues.
Ensuring the delivery of high-quality work within contract timescales.
Working in an office and on a construction site.
Foreman:
The foreman will carry out his duties by maintaining continuous coordination with the logistic
coordinator on daily basis and ensure proper distribution of the workforce in the required and planned
locations.
To ensure that his group is aware of the job requirements, and they have enough information to carry
out their duties properly.
To control disposal of waste materials according to the instructions received from the Site Engineer.
To ensure full coordination with the Safety Officer to maintain safe working and proper housekeeping of
the site, following the approved safety measures and further ensure that all his work team are aware of
the same to prevent accidents and losses.
To inform the Site Engineer about the areas ready for inspection. Distribution and the control of
material shall be monitored by Foreman and storekeeper.

Shall ensure that the safety of the workers is always taken into consideration.
He shall make sure that all materials used must be in safe condition.
All BKGCC-IHCC-JV workers and visitors should evacuate the working area to the nearest assembly
point.
Switch off all the running equipment and vehicles.
Park vehicle on side of the road that shall not block the access road.
Notify client representative and site management at the same time about the emergency.

No one shall be allowed to come near the fire or accident area except for the authorized.
Head counting shall be done in assembly area by site supervisor.
All individuals shall stay in assembly area until all clear alarm activated or someone responsible
person give information of all clear.

5. Work Methodology
The necessary confirmation form client (RSG) and permits need to be obtained prior to mobilization of
the project site office.
The proposed site location to be checked with all existing utilities and all existing utilities to be
identified, marked, and protected as per requirement.
This methodology describes the details of survey works, site preparation, Installation of Porta cabins,
Erection of cabins, Office preparation, MEP works, Generator installation and power supply.
The demarcation of the proposed site office is to be carried out as per the approved shop drawing. The
surveyor will mark the location of the site office on the ground by driving pins not exceeding 300mm in
depth into the ground.
Location of cabin corners and location of all support points are to be marked on the ground.
Site Preparation:
The access route to the proposed site office for light vehicles and heavy vehicle/ plant for mobilization
of portable cabins is to be identified and all the traffic management to be in place with proper
illumination if required.
All required and necessary permits are to be obtained from concerned department.
Toolbox talk to be provided to all workers prior to commencement of any site work.
All exiting services/utilities are to be identified and protected.
The proposed site location is to be cleaned, surface to be compacted and masonry blocks to be laid for
the portable cabin foundation as per drawing.
The platform is to be prepared for the mobile crane works/ trailers movements and working location.
Erection of Cabins:
Each cabin must be connected properly and office to be prepared as per the drawing.
For working at height, permit to work at height to be obtain from concerned department. Only trained
and experienced workers are allowed to work at height. The ceiling joints will be attached and secured.
The flooring to cover with PVC floor covering as per approved material. All required cables and pipes to
be fixed and tested. Access doors will be fixed.

MEP Works:
All offices are to be equipped with required MEP works, Air conditioning system are to be installed as
per requirements and all electricals and plumbing works are to be carried out with certified electrician
and plumbers. Underground septic tank is to be constructed close to site office for office sewerage
network and periodically emptied by sludge tankers. In case an existing sewerage network is available in
the area of the offices, proper connection will be done to the nearest manhole after obtaining necessary
approval from the client/authorities.

8. Environment
Dust control
High dust levels may occur during the mobilization stages. In case of high dust level, dust must be
suppressed by sprinkling water. Personnel exposed to dust shall wear dust masks.
Waste management
Waste skips shall be deployed in the area in order the general waste to be disposed of. The hazardous
waste shall be disposed separately in a hazardous waste area.
Wastewater shall be removed and pumped out as required by an approved contractor. Approved
company to be appointed to dispose and replace containers.
Noise control
High levels of noise are not expected to occur during the mobilization stage.
9. Night-time if required.
The following control measurements shall be fulfilled in case of nighttime working:
• Permit shall be obtained from client RSG.
• Each person shall be wearing high visibility jackets
